Just wondering if im the only one but....Does anyone else get ticked off when someone copies your idea?

Does anyone else just HATE it when...

When it takes immense thought, and you think you made something Fabulous, only to find, a day or so later, that someone already made it? -_-'OR To find, that someone has copied it, after all of your hard work? ive been running into this. Forever. and its getting really really really annoying...>.> does this go for anyone else? :/

My example...
In my ceramics class...I made this really really cool water dragon, bursting out of the water, etc...like a sea serpent type of thing. I was really happy with it, and it was kinda obvious that i was the only one with that kind of idea for my project...then, guess what? 3-4 days later, on the shelf, RIGHT next to my almost done-just-needed-to-be-glazed project was a replica of my dragon. -_-' i was so pissed, it wasnt even funny. all of my friends said (the replica) looked like a worm bursting out of the dirt instead, but still, i was really ticked off. -_-' THEN the following week, i made a really nice lantern, with a phoenix shape so the light would shine out and you know..make it look like it was on fire. Guess what? The same guy ( he writes his name on his projects so i know...-_-') made a smaller, replica, AGAIN of my stuff. -_-' it had a phoenix too. -_-'


Anyone else feel the same way? Irritated when you try your best on something, and someone tries to imitate it? -_-'
Goes for my dumb siblings too..-_-

ugh, I hate it when that happens!!!! and then when you eport it to someone, they say 'it's a comon idea, they didn't steal it, they admire the idea so they made their own version!!' I HATE HATE HATE it, makes you want to kill people

Yes, this REALLY ticks me off.

In health class there's this kid I've hated since first grade but he still continues to bother me even though I treat him like crap! He keeps COPYING me!

We were supposed to choose a random number 1-120, I chose 72, and he took the number I had.

Sort of at least. I usually don't show it though, since most of the time it makes them feel happier.

But what really ticks me off is if someone steals another person's idea/art. Artwork-wise. I hate that. Dx

I took like 8 YEARS of art classes fit into 4 years of my high school career and I have experienced the horribleness of people "getting inspired or copying" my ideas.

SO ANNOYING.

:K Yeah, but still...it usually irritates me to the max. :K I have a slight temper, but only when pushed. :K lol.
O.o and yeah, that too...:/ ive seen tons of "stolen" artwork...where the person is using it without permission, and didnt even make the drawing...:/

And i mean, i really dont mind it if people just use it for like...inspiration, as long as its not 100% alike mine...-_-' Like if they saw something in it they liked, like the wings or something, i wouldnt mind that being copied, but the whole thing, like a exact replica...thats different..-_-

Haha, my school let me take all the art classes provided so I stuffed it all in to 4 years. o___x It was crazy.

I see stolen work all over and that's why I QUIT dA. :/

And dA...I liked the community, don't get me wrong and I had tons of friends that we nice.

I even watermarked ALL of my work, and still got stolen... ._.

O.o holy cows...o.o i would never last. o.o Youre good lol!! :K Ive only taken the Introduction to Arts, Drawing and painting (my teacher was really...lazy so we didnt really do anything in here) and im in Ceramics now, which i love, except for all the copying...-_-

First off, if you love art, you could handle it. (: I am sure. My school was very acceptable and lovely about the arts program. ❤️

CERAMICS WAS THE BEST. The clay and throwing and everything. x3 My teacher was so ambitious and I was like, "I'll never keep up with her!"

Yeah, there are a lot of supportive, nice users, but I took my chances when signing up because I've quit twice and it'll take me a while. I even contacted the admins, first stating the fact why I was quitting and then complaining the next time.

Someone has stole my photography too?! It was like SMH SMH SMH.

And yes!! XD I love throwing!! Love it!! XD
I made this vase, and i thought it was really cool, and guess what, someone copied it, and the thing about throwing is...its a bit easy to copy...-_-' lol.
:K But yeah, my ceramics teacher is so good...he makes the clay look like its effortless...O.o

Throwing is THE BEST. It may get messy, but it's relaxing to me. Vases, cups, mugs, anything of the sort is VERY easy to copy. I hope your teacher realizes this and is a bit more strict on the copying policy or creativeness policy. I mean, being inspired is one thing and taking an element of a project, but copying the whole thing...it's unacceptable.

Well, the dA admins I talked to didn't get back to me for the longest time. :/ That kind of struck me as odd. I have had photography stolen that I took with my canon rebel, and a couple of my digital art creations stolen. It was creatures I made, and other things. Le sigh, no going back on it now and getting disappointed.

Beyond that, I don't know if the people got banned, punished...etc... D:

XD Lol!! I almost did....except for the photography, which i couldnt take cause it was full...so i got into yearbook instead...which i hate. big time. -_-'

XD haha yea!! :* It is fun...:* and the thing is, it feels good when the clay totally coats your hands...XD and i love how you can just...make it rise and fall. :*

:/ but yeah, i agree...it is unacceptable, which was why i was highly annoyed...-_-' and its not only the same kid that keeps copying, its multiple. -_-' its nice that people....like my ideas, but geez, they could add their own flare into it, make it more towards their own style/teqnique.

:/ that kinda sounds like neopets...-_-' I asked the neopets team something rather important, and they didnt get back to me...untill like...2-3 months...-_-' And when they replied, it was a bit rude/unhelpful. Another reason why i quit.

I know there are a few people on this site who steals art
and then call it their own lol.

So it would be worse off if he took your work
and signed his name on it.

In the end, you should be flattered that your art
is so wonderful it inspires someone else.

:/ yeah i guess....the time someone actually took my art, the teacher was quite mad...He yelled at the whole class, which was really really rare..He's like the nicest teacher ive had, and its rare that he yells...😱 But yeah, one of those "bad boys" wrote their name on a bowl i threw, and the teacher actually saw me making that one, so he got really mad. -_-'

and you see the feathers on the back of the phoenix? Someone purposely broke them off. My friend in a different ceramics class saw 3 guys surrounding it, and when they left, she said the feathers had been broken off...:/ again, the teacher got mad...:/ but...it was hard to make the feathers, so i got really mad...:/ and sad...:/

oh and plus, the guys get mad because they dont do anything in class, so the teacher was considering having them switch classes. :K
