Weirdest, most hauntingly beautiful dream, ever.

I had no idea how I got this dream, but, I did:

In the modern day, a girl gets 'kissed' by a butterfly, and gains immortality. Soon, the huge majority of the population has been 'kissed' by a butterfly, making sure that they never died or got injured, no matter what would happen to the Earth.

That was the first part of my dream, the powerful one. This is the second part:

Fast forward, who knows how long. The world is in ruins, and there is war, atomic bombs, everything. The world is predicted to end in about a day or so. I was a girl, with three big sisters, and a mother - I don't remember my 'father', I suppose he was a free spirit who refused to get 'kissed' by the butterflies, and died, like a normal person. In those last 24 hours, I did everything I could to make the most of them - skateboarding, surfing, running around like a free person. Everybody else who was 'kissed' would survive, but to what? Wander around space for an eternity. That wasn't my kind of life.

Then, I saw the world being ripped apart, starting with the heavily darkening sky. Then, I woke up.

It's scary, yes, but strangely beautiful in its own way. It was just like dying, and, today, I feel like I can face death, a little easier, knowing there is some place I can go to, anyway.

I wish I were just as admirable as the girl I was in my dreams - energetic, fun, and self-believing.
