It's kinda hard to explain, but... I'm a bit of a rebel. Anywhere.I can't help but snicker when a user on ec gets punished, and when a rule is implanted I always rant and question where freedom is xDEven at school. Today I had Enrichment, and everytime I tried making one little sound, the teacher kept flooding us with soft "shhhh!" noises. I always sneer a little at a request before I do it. And I'll whisper every once and a while a few times until I get so ticked off that I can barely hold myself back. I have the occassional eyeroll when someone gets punished for barely saying a word. Because sometimes I feel like my world is boxed in, where if someone doesn't want us to do something, we can't do it. Even if it's... I dunno, 1 against like, 20. At the same time, this life would be crazy without a single rule.I'm reading a book, right now. And the main character... This girl... Her society controls her entire life. And I mean, literally. They choose who she has to love and when she dies, where she'll work, they get punished for every little thing. They don't write, they just look at screens. And the society can even see your dreams. It's a completely different situation there, but you know. Sometimes I act like a rebel on purpouse. ^^

@dreamer I used to be like that. It's a part of life that comes with growing up. You'll be looking at it from the other perspective soon enough. (Even I have to snicker at my last comment) *Le sigh*What book are your reading? I think you would like "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer as well. Much better than some of the other stories she's written.

@PhoenixfoxI just don't get it. I used to obey every little rule without question, but people looked down on me and I got tired of it. Now I'm older and I'm starting to think that the requests of some people are downright ridiculous. It's easier to go down with a fight than it is to fall without a word, at least for me. ^^ I try looking in another perspective, but there's really no need to tell a class who has nothing to do to stay quiet and entertain themselves while you, say, eat a snack or read a book or something. There are a ton of kids who look forward to this rare chat time. xDThe book I'm reading... It's called Matched by Allie Condie. ^^ It's really good. I think there's a sequel where the main character creates a rebellion against their society.Stephanie Meyer sounds familiar... Doesn't she wrtie the Twilight books? I read about half of the first one so far, it's actually not *that* bad. 😋

@dreamer Very true, it's hard to "be seen and not heard" - the adage traditional parents aka <1940's believed. While society is going through a social reform it takes a while to catch up to the older generations that children do have a say.I'm not going to say it's for the best, or it's only fair. Life is not fair. However, I do understand the need for a break from the constant buzz of conversation. A quite time that many people would break an arm for.My daughter, this morning, "mommy" "what?" "I can't see you" "I'm getting dressed" "Mommy" "what?" "What are you doing?" "I'm getting dressed" "Mommy" "What?" "I'm hungry" "Ok *gets oatmeal*" Mommy" "What?" "I want to watch tv." "Can you hold on?" "Mommy" "WhaT?" "I'm dressed before you" "Mommy" "WHAT?!" "Are you ready yet?" "BE QUIET!"

@dreamer its okay, everyone is like that at times ^^ its not bad, only if you take it too far, like talking back and being rude or something 😋 I can't give a good example right now xD (are you reading Matched? 😱)
