Has anyone else heard of banning books?

I had to do research on frequently "challenged" books for the past few years, The Giver and The Hunger Games. Challenging is removing a book because of "inappropriate content", freedom of speech (I think XD) And Harry Potter was on it a while ago. On Read Across America Day, we had a teacher from the high school come read book #2 for 2011 to us XD And the #1 book is about two male penguins who were a couple and were given an egg by zookeepers. I want to read some of these 😋
