@oranberry100 Yah I think it is a little bit clever and a little bit stupid. But mostly I think it is awesome.

@harrypotter7 What creepy song? And as for a favorite, I know it's a copout but I don't really have one, either. I like "?Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl)" and "Last Of The American Girls" off the top of my head, but...

@femme_gauche Yeah... I just can't wait for new songs, but I have no idea on how they're gonna pull it off. x)

@lilliana Ha, MCR is pretty good, but Green Day is my fav. 83

@0utc4st Cool Username, and you started listening to GD when you were SIX? Wow... That's awesome... I started listening to them when I was 11, and now I own all their songs, from 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours to 21 Century Breakdown. 😸

@lilliana Do you mean greenday or Green Day? 😉 And I like My Chemical Romance... but not as much as I love Green Day.

@oranberry100 Well I have a feeling it is going to be excellent, however they do it. I get the feeling also that it isn't going to be so political this time although I'm sure that will be mixed in there.

To be honest... I really got into them when I was 14, but Dookie came out when I was 4... and my older sisters listened to it back then and I liked it.

@leliana I love MCR!

@oranberry100 I'm 16 now, I remember my favorite memory was my dad first playing the American idiot album while I was waiting for the bus in first grade and my dad quickly muting the volume whenever Billie cursed

@oranberry100 @harrypotter7y @billie_joe_cool_cat Has anyone heard the new single, "Oh Love"? It's excellent. Very them, yet so different from anything they've done recently. Really awesome stuff. Full of tension, anxiety, and electricity.

@oranberry100 So what did you think of the Trilogy? Have you heard the whole thing yet?

I love it, of course. ❤️.

@femme_gauche First of all, I haven't talked to you in a while, so hi! 😊 And the trilogy is AMAZING. I love it and think Green Day did a spectacular job on something new. When I first heard Uno, a few songs definitely stood out from the rest. (Rusty James could've been a great single) I still found Dos more to my liking. I think the more garage-sounding tracks were more up my alley. Nightlife, though, I didn't like much. I praise the band for trying something completely different, but it was just an okay song. Tre was yet again mindblowingly awesome. It's hard for a band to make three albums in a row that all connect to eachother, and Green Day nailed it.

I'm also going to the Green Day concert that is near Chicago!!!!! 😃 😊 😊 I'm so exited, but it got postponed sadly.

@oranberry100 Yeah, still not sure about the shows I got tickets for... I'm just hoping I can get off work for the new dates. January was perfect for me, because it is the off season so it would be very easy for me to not work for a few days.

And yes, the Trilogy is epic 😊. I love Dos! as well, but I do actually like "Nightlife". If you don't take it literally, and you think of Lady Cobra as sort of, like she says, the devil on his shoulder... aka not any real person in particular just the dark impulses of the mind... Then it is easier to appreciate it.

X-Kid is great... Sex, Drugs & Violence is great... Dirty Rotten [yeep] is great...

@femme_gauche I guess Nightlife is just a song that i'll grow into.

I'm still gonna memorize the lyrics 😉

X-Kid, Sex Drugs and Violence, and Dirty Rotten [yeep] are very good songs, too. Like tradition, Green Day ends most of their albums with a ballad, and The Forgotten was beautiful. So was Walk Away. They're all just so good! XD

Mhmm, I love The Forgotten. I wasn't in love with it at first, but it's definitely grown on me. It's a good'n.

The records are so all over the place, and Tre definitely seems to be the most familiar for anyone who came to love them in the American Idiot or 21CB eras.

@oranberry100

Also, as an aside... A couple weeks ago when he was posting stuff about guns... I commented on Mike's Instagram (a photo which he deleted, unfortunately) and he replied to me! XD. He said he was proud of me.

@femme_gauche OMG!!! You 'talked' to Mike Dirnt!? That is so awesome! And i remember when he said that, it was about the shooting, right? (Prayers for the kids) Anyways, I do think that Tre was most like the other albums. 99 Revolutions could've easily fit into American Idiot.

@oranberry100 Yah, of course the tragedy that sparked the conversation was... Terrible, but I did get rather excited that he pinged me.

You know, I think... Sound-wise, 99 Revolutions sounds like more like an in-between song, neither from American Idiot nor 21st Century Breakdown but it could have worked in either era.
