What are they? How do you change them to see different things?

@chloekins
@sanibel_18

It's the code used for websites or blogs. Like BB code is the code used for forums.

@sanibel_18 Do you know about BB code? It's the code for forums (not this one, unfortunately). HTML is exactly the same, but it's used for websites.

@Karamel
I understand them a bit, but I don't get how people change them to see new things.

@chloekins You use different codes to create different things, such as links and images: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/default.asp

@chloekins well they use it to design websites. u can change a website's HTML codes (temporarily) wen u click F12. (double click on an HTML text there and type ur code in! )

but they arent permanent and would return to their previous format when u refresh the page. only Ian can change them permanently ;]
http://www.w3schools.com has great info on HTML codes.
hope this helped!

@chloekins What do you mean? You can't see HTML, it "transforms" into what you want it to be.

E.G If you wanted a header saying "HEADER":
<h1>HEADER</h1>

Of course, it doesn't work on here, but if you edited the HTML of a website, it would look like a header.

@chloekins @karamel
u can change them but only temporarily and only u can view the changes u hav made (and not the other users viewing the page). the web page would return to its former state wen u refresh it.
*points at previous post* ;]

@chloekins You can press F12 or CTRL+U to see the HTML and some other codes.

It's not fun, you have to learn it ALL 😋
