I hate today.

Today was downright awful. I was excited the whole week for today, and it turned out to be terrible.

In riding, they blow a whistle to let you know to start the course. Well, I heard the whistle, so I started cantering away. But it turned out that the lady was blowing a whistle for the other girl to be eliminated. Why would she have the same whistle for starting and elimination? I don't know. So anyways, I almost collided with her because I started at the wrong time because of the lady. Then I had to do the course again.

When I was looking at scores, we had to turn in our ribbons about 3 times b/c they kept messing up. The show was scored on optimum time meaning whoever got closest to the OPT of 2:18. I scored closest, but they messed up and gave me 2nd. I told them I was supposed to be 1st, but they just said that they were keeping it that way and would fix it next show.

Riding is expensive. So, my only show of the year, they jacked me over on the $120 1st place prize I earned. So I cried. I wasn't crying about the ribbon, I was sad I couldn't show my dad that this pays off. He disapproves of the sport and is always trying to take me out. He has missed every one of my shows. I could've shown him the $ and perhaps continued riding. With the money, I would cover the entry fees.

Now my teacher is angry I was crying. I can't tell anyone how deep we are in debt so she doesn't understand. She's gotten the whole barn disappointed in me.

What a great way to spend my birthday.

But they did, and that's the problem. We're trying to see if they will cover the entry fees so that I can do another show, but it's unlikely. I'm not even sure I want to do another show. :/

Yup, on horses. There is no prize for second place, they only do first for each division though.

And I didn't know you did horse-back riding, Zumi~
I do too. I'm a beginner, actually. 83 I started in October.. and I still have to work on keeping my balance at the trot before I get to cantering.

I know the feeling.☹️ I was given last place when I did everything right. >.< My stirrup was crooked so I lost my balance *once* and everyone else was all over the place. :/

Oh, that must've been hard ☹️ The first time I did the course I almost fell off (And at the show if you fall off you're eliminated) but I somehow miraculously kept my balance. I had an awful turn and I was just running my pony at the jump but he was being really good and jumped it ❤️ I got lucky. I had no stirrups D:

Yup, he's adorable ❤️ Smallest horse at the show XD And for spring we clipped him and gave him hair pants!! 😋

He's not actually my horse, my trainer owns him. But I'm the only person that rides him so everybody just calls him mine 😋 I don't actually own him. I wish I did.

I will learn how to gallop soon, and I have been riding for three yearsish, once a year, never fallen off. Come close though....
