So I just got a message from submittable telling me the status of a poem has changed, the last one I had submitted to this one journal. All my others from this journal had been rejected so I thought, "oh, looks like they got around to rejecting my last poem."

but I go to check the link that told me to check the status and what do I see?

This is that journal that old...more-than-friends guy edits (I say that because I don't think you could call what we were a relationship, but we acted like it before he went off for the summer and came back treating me as though I were a nuisance).

We met through writing.

Anyway, he saw my name on my submission and messaged me on Facebook, as I've mentioned before. I hope he wasn't the reason it got accepted, but at the same time I hope they didn't accidentally hit Accept. =P

I'm trying not to read too deeply into it.
He always did like my work. I don't even know if he had a say in it, if he has any say it was gets accepted and what gets declined.
