Today at school, I had Enrichment fifth period. I hate this class because I dislike the teacher and we aren't allowed to say a single word without her butting in our business. So today, after 4th period, I was walking through the halls to go to my locker. All the kids were like, abnormally slow and pushy today, so there were only a few people at their lockers when I got there.Anyways, I walked to the room where my Enrichment class is with two of my friends. And we walked in the room like, 3 seconds after the bell rang, literally. But the teacher stopped us and told us we were late, then made us explain ourselves. I, being sensitive about this, was almost in tears. Then the teacher says, "Well fortunately for you guys, you need 3 tardies to get a detention, so... Don't do it two more times! Haha!"Oh, Give me a break. This is going on my permanent record for the year, too.Yeah, okay. So I was 3 seconds late. We're sixth graders, not freaking soldiers.I guess the actual class was O.K., but I'm still pissed off at that teacher. She always treats us like we're in some sort of camp. When we want something, she writes all our names on the board and calls on us in order. And if you get up, or giggle or something, she'll be like "Ladies, what's going on over there? Quiet down." And, she has freaking man-hands. I think I found my new least favorite teacher. -_-*RANTRANTRANTRANTRANT*

At least the school year is almost over, right? At the middle school I went to, you didn't get anything for tardy. Except if it was like 10 minutes late.At the high school I go to, you get white cards for being tardy, and if you get three, you get after school detention. And if you get five of those, you get alternative school. It seems kind of harsh to me, there is only like, what? Three, four minutes between classes, that's not enough to go to your locker, and go to the bathroom (We're not allowed to go during class). It's just stupid to me, give people a break.Like 3 seconds, that's retarted. I mean come on.-.-

:[ Once i met this teacher, i asked her what was the blanked out paragraph and she's like Oh it's the answer, i have the answer and you don't so Ha-Ha. I wanted to punch her. She is like the meanest teacher in our school even one of the teachers was like: If you need help, run to my classroom.
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 3:58 PM
@Dawnie Exactly! 5 tardies is alternative school for you guys? Are you kidding me?!Considering I'm pretty good about getting to my classes, and I'm never late. I mean, on the first day of middle school I was late to every class, but hey. It was my first day of middle school. And my locker wsn't cooperating with me. >.<One day, I was 5 minutes late for English. The teacher didn't do anything.I was late for clay art one day in December, but the teacher was fine with it.So now my friends and I are three seconds late because people are being sluggish, and she has to go and pull this crap on us?! Like, come on.Especially since the two friends I was with already put their books in the class, asked the teacher, and went back out to use the bathroom. They said that, and the teacher's like, "Oh... Well, you need a pass!"It's ridiculous. At this point the TEACHER is the one giving excuses.I mean, I was barely a few feet away from the door when the bell rang.Like, *sorry* if my feet aren't fast enough for your standards!

@dreameri hated sixth grade xD it will be the worst year of your life and at least you didn't throw up in your 6th grade 6 period class :|& i cryd all the time and once your at the top of the totom pole they will only announce rules that they REALLY want u to enforce 😋 high schools epic xD but its too much work and stress
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:02 PM
@Dreamer No. Three tardies is an after school. 5 after schools is an alternative. I've never been to alternative. I don't want to. I'd be the one to like, start crying. xD I almost had to once, but I got out of it. I got out, but Jacob my brother and the other girl had to go. I think you can *kinda* guess what it was about.Omg, on the first day, I didn't find my fourth period class until like the next lunch. xD (I have lunch rght before that class) so it was like half an hour. I can't wait till this year is over. ><5th grade was NOT my year. xDDD(It was my first year of Middle School)
metaphor • 20 March 2012 at 4:06 PM
@dreamerDon't feel bad.I got yelled at by the principal yesterday because I went to resource room instead of back to the office for a tardy slip. I was late because I had to turn forms in for Senior Trip. I thought it was understood that I go to the Resource Room when I'm late?I wanted to cry. I'm sensitive too, and she made it sound like I was always a bad student who always comes in late and whatnot.

@Dawnie OHHHH. I get it. xD Still harsh though. :/The first day was awful for me. xD School ends in June, we're almost done with third term. But STILL. 3 seconds? Come on.Plus, the seventh graders were taking MCAS (a big test), so when they finished with it they completely dominated the halls. I wa sswerving left and right to get past seventh grade boys, groups of popular girls, other sixth graders, et catera.Even worse, a boy walked into that Enrichment class 10 MINUTES AFTER THE BELL RANG. And the teacher said absolutely nothing.I started middle school this year, sixth grade. But 5th grade wasn't the best either. X3 We got piled with work and they always said "Oh, we're preparing you for middle school!" when this year has gotta be easier than the fifth grade.
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:09 PM
@Dreamer Ooh, Sixth Grade.Sixth grade was NOT my year. xD I got marked (if we didn't have our homework we'd we 'marked') 32 times, and got 12 after schools and 4 alternatives I believe. If I got one more alternative, *If my mind serves correctly* I would've gotten sent to group home. You look her straight in the face and give her a little friendly gesture. That's what I'd do.
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:13 PM
@Dreamer Yeah. But still. School ends in May for me. ;DYeah, my teachers said that too. I didn't know the meaning of piling on homework until I got into 9th grade. xD@_Batman I know that's what you'd do. Our English teacher knows it too.
boxofcrayons • 20 March 2012 at 4:14 PM
@dreamer I go to school in Canada, and we don't have tardies, or after school detention or 'Alernative school' (what is that anyway?) All that happens is a phone home to our parents...
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 4:15 PM
@_batman It's hard to be friendly when the teacher doesn't return the gesture. XD I can be rebellious to rule, but this is just completely unfair on any standards.@Metaphor Ouch. >.<I've never had a good principal, either. A few months ago I was at my locker after third period becuase I grabbed the wrong binder. and the principal stuck her grouchy head out from a doorway and started yelling at me to get out of my locker. When my friend and I walked by, she kept on yelling until we just walked away and turned a corner.I mean I get it, trying to act like they're in charge, but they're so harsh on us. >_< We're not perfect!I hate it when teachers yell, so I don't blame ya. When they really are pissed they treat you like a criminal, when I'm a perfectly good student as well. Especially when we just have a misunderstanding or we have another thing to do. There's a point where they're just downright nosy.

@boxofcrayons really? wish they would've called my parents, I'd like to meet them. @Dawnie She had it comin'. She should know better. Isn't she the one that called me rebellious, stubborn, and hard-headed? It's so hard to keep track. ;D@Dreamer My teacher gave me a gesture back, but it was boring. I'd hope she'd go all hard-core rebellious teacher, but no. 😋

@DreamerThis brings back memories. I can definitely relate, let's just say there was this substitute in one of my classes, me and my friends were late only because our last class had been all the way at the end of our school building, and our teacher let us out late.Just a tiny glimpse of her and I knew she'd be a strict one, I tried pulling off my 'Miss Goodie Two Shoes' act but before any one of us could explain, it went something like this...Substitute: Why are you girls late?Us: Our last class let us out lat-Substitute: GO BACK AND GET A PASS!Friend One: Excuse me? You didn't let us finish.Substitue: Does it look like I care?Friend One: No, but we have a [yeep] reason for all this.Friend Two: It wasn't our fault.Substitute: I don't care who's fault it is, go back and get a pass!Me: ...Okay.We went to set our bags down, but then she yells at us saying, "What the hell are you doing?", we responded, "...Putting our bags down?", and she replies back, "NO! You girls will go get a pass and you'll take your bags with you!"._.

That stinks. I would be so pissed off at that teacher. Most of my teachers are nice, but some are frustrating.
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:27 PM
@_batman I think that was me. Actually. c:Wait, Rebellious? Neh. It wasn't me. You just don't have any common sense. No biggie. xD
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:29 PM
@hayz o.o ms.jaffe's not mean.>:T another teacher. She's like an ogre!
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 4:29 PM
@Sky That sucks. >.< I hate it when subs are mean. There's this one sub we have who erks me, and everyone knows it. She smiles constantly, like that cheesy "Im happy but I'm secretly watching you!!!!" smile. She never lets us talk. I had her a few times as a math sub and she would just sit and stare at me the whole time with that awkward smile. On Friday and Monday, we had substitutes for science. I'm not trying ot be racist at all, but... The first sub was Indain and the second was African, meaning they had extremely strong accents, they were absolutely confused, and we couldn't understand a single word they said.So my class barely got any work done that class, and they started writing down a bunch of names for my science teacher, and now my science teacher is going around giving all the people who were mentioned a lunch detention. She lets them explain themselves, but she doesn't even listen. I mean, come on!

@belilalas_25FRIER? O3OOh wait, you guys have Ng. D:
zafeyry • 20 March 2012 at 4:34 PM
My teachers are so lenient. Maybe it's because I'm in all advanced, but I'm not a goodie-two-shoes. At all. My math teacher will say "You're late" but that's it. And nobody's going to care about a tardy as a 6th grader either 😋 And what's enrichment?
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 4:38 PM
@Zafeyry Enrichment... It's basically Study Hall for middle schoolers. We just have the period to sit in a classroom and do homework. But most of us just read or doodle or pass notes to our friends or whisper or pretend that we're busy. We have two Enrichments on our schedule, minimum. My Math teacher could care less if I'm late. My Social Studies teacher just closes the door and makes us wait out side for a minute or two, then asks why we're late and lets us sit down. My science teacher would probably boss us around, but I don't know. No matter how annoying my English teacher is, she probably wouldn't care. My art teacher doesn't care, and my Techno Art teacher doesn't care either. My Life Skills teacher would only be concerned if we were really late. And my Spanish teacher could care less.
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:42 PM
@Dreamer We had that. But we called it Intervention. But we no longer had it during OAA time. Cause we had to prepare. -.-It seems every person I talk to has had a foreign language class. You're in 6th, you have Spanish.I'm in 9th, I have nothing. I don't take a foreign language 'till Sophomore year. What's up with that?
zafeyry • 20 March 2012 at 4:45 PM
@dreamerI have that, but we call it SSR. This year it changed to Study Hall, but it's only Study Hall on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We have SSR band every third day too :/
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 4:45 PM
@Dawnie Some people have the option of not doing Foreign language. Instead, they're required to take a Specialized Reading class. But it's worse for them, because some of those people get pulled out of their electives and we're required to do Foreign Language in highschool, so they'll be behind.
Deleted • 20 March 2012 at 4:47 PM
@Dreamer you get to.. Choose? o-0 WHAT THE HECK! xD I didn't get to choose ANY of my classes until High School, and we never got the option of a foreign language.
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 4:52 PM
@Dawnie We choose elctives (extra classes), too. We aren't ensured that we get the classes we chose, but it gives them ideas. I got one of the electives I chose. In highschool, we can do all sorts of languages, instead of only Spanish and French. I'll probably pick Italian. 😸Our math and English teachers choose which level classes we'll have for seventh grade. I got Pre-algebra for math and English level 1 for English. They're both advanced classes. ;DI signed up for Design Time and Girl's Chorus for electives next year. Not sure if I'll get them though, because a lot of the girls signed up for Design Time. I think it's like interior designing.

@DreamerThat was ssooo unfair! Ugg... She's was mean. But at least I spent the whole class passing notes with Harry, and soon Helen. Harry didn't get Helen's "I like... " hint. At all XD
dreamer • 20 March 2012 at 5:57 PM
@Scarlettsong Ikr? I hate her so much. -_- You can't disagree that she has man hands. xD Her hands are so big and... manly. O_oEven at my other enrichment. She has a class of eighth graders next door, and she always walks in our classroom and tells us to stop talking. It's stupid. Like, don't you have your own class to watch?I wanted to sit next to you guys, but there were no seats left. So I sat across the room next to Preston and traced my hand on paper, then turned it into unicorns and cows and showed you and Harry. xD You guys seemed to be enjoying yourselves. The whole time Joey kept getting my attention and whispering "Daniiiiii!" so yeah. You and Harry and Helen seemed like you were having fun though.Maybe Harry DID see what Helen wrote, but didn't say anything? Like how she asked him to dance and he said no, even though he likes her.
