Yes Inkheart is amazing.
I'm gonna try some of Jodi picoults works
I've heard of Sara Dessen. I think I've seen some of her books as well

How about "To Kill A Mockingbird"? (you would have to be mature to read that.. but it's a great book!!)
My fav. would be"Peter Nimble and his Fantastic Eyes"

Thanks for the suggestion, I've seen the movie to kill a mockingbird in english for media studies. It was pretty good.
