my idea...

The mystery egg is an EXTREMELY rare egg that can hatch into any creature that is available on eggcave.

ONLY CAVE CREATURES THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT THE TIME CAN BE HATCHED FROM THIS EGG!

Yea, I like it. Just it wouldnt hatch anything like a doovoo or CC creature or retireds.. It could hatch others and be given out at events.
It could be a christmas suprise.

If I recall correctly it was not a big hit.

Um.. I would have to say no for this.
It decreases the rarity of creatures and people who have worked hard to get some of the rarer creatures on EC, may be quite disappointed if this idea goes up and people start to get rare creatures easily when they spent a long time doing so.

well, it would be quite rare for it to be hatched into rare creature. only a cave creature that is AVAILABLE at the time could be hatched from this egg.

and plus it's rare to find one.

So people know it is not an original.

The majority of the time, there are only commons in the cave. So if you got this, chances are you would get a common. I'll have to vote no ☹️

If it was any egg on eggcave, then the rarity for the eggs would go down. And some people work really hard to get those rare eggs. So it would only be fair if it hatched eggs in the cave.
