Problem With Activating!!!

I accidentally put in the wrong e-mail when I started, so I changed it in Preferences, then I went to it, opened it, clicked on the link, & then it said it "did". So I went back here & guess what? It wasn't activated! I did the same thing, changing, going there, for, around three times, but the notice still shows up!
Is that normal?
