Okay, so me and @karamel have got our Bamboo tablets *-* It's this version: http://tinyurl.com/c3mhf6f

We're just wondering, what's the best art program to use with this tablet (or any Bamboo tablet, for that matter)? And if possible please provide a virus-free download link 😊

I really don't think the program matters... It really all depends on your skill lvl.

I have just a normal Wacom tablet (that doesn't work anymore cuz it's older than the hills!) and Photoshop Elements ^.^

@cfmtfm I have a bamboo tablet xD I use photoshop (it came with the tablet), but I think you could really use anything 😊 I you go to Adobe's website, you could probably download a free trial 😊

@cfmtfm Hrmm, i've never tried to use MS paint with a tablet before. Try it out and if it doesn't work I'm sure there are photoshop programs out there that are free to download 😉

I used to use Disney Create which is really great if you like sharing your artwork and having other people rate it, but now I use DeviantArt muro which works really well.
I would say Disney has more options; you can do comics, flipooks, regular art, and fan art.
But, DeviantArt muro works much better with my tablet (it is not a Bamboo tablet, though).
Also, DA makes it much easier to share on other websites like Eggcave.

Basically, contrary to what @cafe says, you can use any program you want.
It's all a matter of what you're comfortable with.
I suggest starting with MS Paint (which I love), and then if you can, get Paint Tool SAI - there's multiple brush options, and lots of good stuff.
It even has a binary brush, which is like using the pencil tool in MS Paint. ❤️

I've seen many pixle art that was made with MS paint that was beautiful! But, then again, the ppl might have been lying about what what they used O_o...

By what I meant, I meant like more complex art that a lot of people try to do when they get a tablet. Like, as an example, anime with full coloring and shading

@cafe Okay, thanks 😊 I think the Bamboo tablet came with Livebrush, which is a little like Photoshop (@duchess 😊) but it also responds to the pen pressure (i.e. the harder you press the thicker the lines) and has a lot of styles too.

I'd say gimp if you want a free program (but it sucks i have to use it cause i have no choice >.>)
But sai is better. I think the best are photoshop and sai
