@whispersI'm in the same sort of situation as you, except I'm really not interested in those books at all.

@whispersI'm not going to force you, and I'm not trying, I just wanted to put in my 2 cents đ¸just because HP is a story about witches and wizards and basic, general folklore (i.e. trolls), doesn't mean it's going against any religion. It is just a story, fiction (the author doesn't claim it to be real). Even if you were to read it, it doesn't mean you're going against the religion or against God by saying that you believe in these things (which isn't necessarily true if you were to read these books), just because that is what a parent believes. If you were to use this basis to reading fiction books, then you shouldn't be reading fiction books, which is, in a sense, lying. Sorry, a little vent there ^.^;; I am an avid reader, obviously :/ Anyway, it is nice to go with what you value, if that's what you really want~

Exactly what writtenwings said. Books are just meant to be enjoyed, and the subject isn't trying to be rude to your religion or anything, it's just a fictional story and the author is just trying to entertain you.

Pretty sure topics over religion are against the rules. Might wanna check them to be safe. đ
