Topic has been solved. đ Post random stuff or something đ

@oranberry100You may be allergic to the metals in your earrings. Try switching to a hypoallergenic earring, or stainless steel ones. If that doesn't help, then use peroxide to clean the area well, and then use a different earring.

@oranberry100You've to search for special ones. I don't have that problem since I got them pierced as a baby.
zafeyry • 20 April 2012 at 9:33 PM
@oranberry100I don't know anything about earrings, but my sister changes hers every day (i think). Do you sleep with them and stuff? And if you take them out overnight the hole probably won't close đSources:Sister and friends that are girls.
oranberry100 • 20 April 2012 at 9:35 PM
@armageddondoll @saving-eggs Thanks, though the ones I'm wearing are stainless steel. I got them done at Claire's.@zafeyry (sorry I edited you in đ) Well, I do sleep in my earrings. I don't like to take them out though, and it would take a long time.
saving-eggs • 20 April 2012 at 9:37 PM
@oranberry100Ohh... have you tried with silver ones? Or with plastics? NOTE: never use plastic ones!!
oranberry100 • 20 April 2012 at 9:41 PM
@saving-eggs nope, er I don't think so. I've always kept the same 'stainless steel' earrings in. My friend had to take her earrings out because they were pierced on a nerve, and I'm afraid that that's what happened to me.
armageddondoll • 20 April 2012 at 9:50 PM
@oranberry100You should never get any piercing done anywhere but a shop strictly for piercing. Tattoo shops, piercing shops, they are the safest place to get any done (including a regular ear piercing.) Because places like Claire's, or mall stands, use a piercing gun. That causes damage to the ear lobe, which leads to most earring complications, and most aren't professional piercers who have been doing it for years, which can lead to things like you said about your friends being on a nerve. Going to a professional shop, where they use proper needles and forceps, can be scary, but it's much better for your ears in the long run. They know EXACTLY where the piercing should and will go, and will give you detailed aftercare advice. Try and take care of it the best you can, but if it doesn't heal properly, re-piercing doesn't hurt any worse than the first time. Also, don't take them in and out constantly. Once a piercing is done, it shouldn't leave your body. Only remove them IF necessary for showering, so you don't accidentally catch on one and wash it down the drain when you are washing your hair.-Experience: Father is a professional tattoo artist and piercer, and I myself have piercing experience.- đ

@oranberry100 you can take earinngs out after like a month or something ( I don"t remember) but I put mine in once a month to keep my earring holes open. There still open. they don't close for like (look it up you young genoration you)
oranberry100 • 20 April 2012 at 9:56 PM
@armageddondoll wow. âšī¸ You are so right. The lady at Claire's totally er 'guessed' isn't the right word, but they asked for my opinion if it was the right place x( Any more advice? đ
armageddondoll • 20 April 2012 at 10:10 PM
@oranberry100Like I said, use hyrdogen peroxide to clean it, and you should let whatever earrings you will be putting in, sit in some peroxide as well. after a few days it should improve đ Buuuut if it doesn't, go to a good tattoo shop near you, and see what they say about the placement and if you should keep the piercings or let them heal and close up and get them redone. Most shops will do their best to help you get them healed so you don't have to go through the re-piercing process, but if there is no salvaging them they will tell you to let them close. If it comes to going to a shop, be sure to let them know where you got the piercings done. Chances are they may have had other people come in with the same problem from the place. đ

@oranberry100I have this happen to me to. I have to get the hypoallergenic ones and i clean my ears once a week. I also try to switch them out once a week from big earrings to little stub earrings.I find that it helps me.

@oranberry100 I've had as many as 10 piercings in both of my ears (20 total) and I'm down to 10 because the other 10 were pierced in the wrong spot AND I slept in them lol. It doesn't really matter if you sleep with your earrings in as long as they are not in the cartalidge, but if they are, and they are healed enuff to where you can take them out, NEVER sleep in them! Trust me, I know đ

@oranberry100I dunno DXI don't have my ears pierced c:
solaristorage • 21 April 2012 at 7:48 PM
@oranberry100What kind of earrings are you wearing now? I suggest getting a pair of sleeper earrings. I have a pair that I wear pretty much continuously. Even while sleeping. I did, however, have them out for about a week, and when I put them back in, my ears started to ooze. (I definitely learned my lesson! I won't ever leave them out for so long again!)Also, if your ears hurt, I suggest using warm water and cleansing salt. I only use Hydrogen Peroxide to clean my earrings themselves. I find that if I use it directly on my ears, they get very dry.EDIT: I forgot I was on my side! XD
dionaea • 21 April 2012 at 7:53 PM
@oranberry100*pokes Armageddondolls comment* If you do decide to use hydrogen peroxide, be sure to not use too high a concentration, cause it burns. As far as I know after a while you can just take out your earrings. I've had some issues with mine, and the best thing to do if it gets inflamed is to take out the earring and desinfect every day. I've hardly ever slept with mine though, only if I went on trips and was afraid of losing my earrings O.o If you have trouble taking them out and/or putting them back in ask someone else to do it for you. EDIT: You could try wearing earrings with thinner pins for a while? I have stainless steel ones and the pins of those are so thick it's painful to put them in (they're the ones which they initially pierced my ears with).
cotton • 21 April 2012 at 8:00 PM
@oranberry100 You should definitely change them out more often. Since it bothers you so much, maybe like every 3 days? It sounds like I'm trying to make your ears hurt, but really the more you change them out, the more you get used to them and it will feel better. đHope this helped! You could also see your ear-piercing place about it unless you pierced them yourself.
iceyme • 21 April 2012 at 8:01 PM
@oranberry100Yeah it is a metal allergy. My earings do that too and I would stop wearing them.I had to do that but I still wear hypo allergenic earings.;D
coatimundi • 21 April 2012 at 8:01 PM
@armageddondollwow i wish i knew that... i got my ears pierced at claires like 5 times and they never stay pierced... Once my earring got ripped out of my ear, and i couldn't even put it back in!
oranberry100 • 21 April 2012 at 10:26 PM
@coatimundi@cotton@dionaea@solaris@iceymeThanks so much, guys, (girls đ) â¤ī¸ I solved the problem last night. Okay, so my earrings were bothering me so much, there were inconvenient and a huge pain. It took a while, but i took them off in the dark. đ heheh clever me, eh? /shotTurns out the earrings were causing the problems only because they've been left in for WAY too long without much care. There was a lot of gunk in them o.eThanks again for all the help from EC đ
cotton • 21 April 2012 at 10:28 PM
@oranberry100 You're welcome, glad you got it fixed! đYeah, you definitely shouldn't keep them in for that long, it messes things up 0.0 Good thing you found out the problem! đ
