Creature Idea: the Neiye

About the Neiye:
The Neiye (pronounced NYE-yeh) is a very fascinating creature. It is quite sociable, and wild Nei tend to live in tribes of ten to seventy-five individuals. However, when it comes to hunting, Nei prefer solitude in which to use their unique method of catching prey. A Neiye will conceal itself in a bush, leaving only its tail out to look like a dead snake. When a hungry scavenger approaches, the Neiye will leap out and use its horns to neatly kill the unfortunate creature. The Neiye will then bring its kill back to its tribe.
Nei are also very unusual in their physical appearance. Each golden eye has three pupils, and their whiskers are bright red. Instead of having mouths on their heads, their jaws are instead located on their tails. The horns which they use for hunting are very sharp, and owners would be advised to keep the tips of the horns filed or clipped, so that there is no danger of getting hurt.

Haha, I was trying to draw something completely original, not based on or similar to anything, and that's the end result 😸 But now that I think about it, it is kinda feline-ish 😋

Yay for the strange kitten!
I think it's really original...it looks like, forme, like the mad cat in Alice in Wonderland...kinda..this one it's not so fat, actually 😸
The egg stage is too cute, with those red whiskers ^3^

And it's not *quite* a cat, it came from an attempt to make a creature that wasn't based on anything at all, but cats are my favorite animal so I guess my subconscious influenced it a little 😋
