Right now I'm in my room with big project and homework. I have to do my math, but I didn't write down which problems I was supposed to do. I texted my friend who was in the same class as me like 3:22 Pm and right now its 5:10 Pm and she still didn't reply. Also I have a big science project and I need to get 3 pages done, the project is like a book about volcanoes where we have to get information and write it down in our books. So far, I need to pages 2 and 3 which are due tomorrow and I have no idea why and how volcanoes form at Divergent Boundaries, Convergent Boundaries, and Hot Spots.I am really confused right now and I have no idea what to do that's why I wiped my tears and started coming to eggcave to talk to you guys about it.

@puppyloverlauren CALL HER. Don't text. Calling would be more noticeable then text. For the rest, Google it. ;D

Does your school have a website on assignments? π

I am going to cry as well, my teacher gave my class a worksheet three weeks ago. It was a very insignificant packet, and now she wants us to turn it in. We were done with the unit and she never told us to keep it. Apparently all my classmates held onto it except me. I recycled it and I feel like crap because my teacher is going to yell at me but I can't do anything about it.

@trish I did call her XD and i am googling them XD but my teacher might get suspiciuos of how i got these info.@linpug it does but the assignments didn't say if they were odd or even i know that it has to be odd or even because there are 2 assignments and the first one is odd

@puppyloverlauren My non-helpful-suggestionsCheck the volcano questions on Wikipedia. It might help, or google the questions. Some should come up. πWith math, do you take a school bus? If you do, and there's people in your class who take the same bus, then maybe you can ask them and try to finish it before you get there. If you don't, tell the teacher. It's always better for you to tell them than when they ask for it. π

@puppyloverlauren Then you can try doing all. (I know it may be to much >.<)

@puppyloverlaurenHot spots.Aren't they a big blob of magma that is RIGHT under the Earth's crust? There's one at Hawaii. That's how the volcanoes [form/] explode.

puppyloverlauren • 14 May 2012 at 8:53 PM
@rileytibbles_side I am in 6th grade ^^"science project= check! (just need to cut stuff and glue πΈ)math homeword= nope still didn't reply
rileytibbles_side • 14 May 2012 at 8:56 PM
@puppyloverlaurenThat's exactly what I thoughtπI'm in 7thWhat were the math problems on? Most schools have a website and you can look and see what the homework was. Like homeworknow.com (i think) But I guess it depends on what state you live in
puppyloverlauren • 14 May 2012 at 9:24 PM
@rileytibbles_side oh no i just don't know what assignments im supposed to do but if i do need help, i'll ask you
lavender • 14 May 2012 at 9:32 PM
@puppyloverlaurenI understand! Today, in my math class we have to graph stuff, and my teacher gave the x-values to plug in for a function, and I forgot to write down one of them! So, I can't finish my math H.W now!! BUT, I can go to school early and ask my teacher to give me some extra-time. SOmaybe you could go to school early?don't go to school tom.?Mail your teacher and ask her to e-mail you back/give you extra-time?
puppyloverlauren • 14 May 2012 at 9:42 PM

lavender • 14 May 2012 at 9:43 PM
@puppyloverlaurenOh, I never though about that! SorryHmmmmmm, how about you ask your parents to write a note to your teacher, making up some kinda excuse?

@lavender it is 6:51PM right now DX

Divergent boundaries: Plates diverge -> tensional stress -> fractures occur in lithosphere. The magma will fill up the gaps and become new sea floor. (process: sea floor spreading). What I learn is there's not many volcanoes at a diverging boundary except for the place where magma comes out.Converging boundaries: the denser plate (oceanic) will subduct under the less dense plate (continental). The plates will melt -> more pressure. More pressure -> magma moves up any breaks or fractures -> volcano. This is a subducted volcano. I don't learn about hot spot volcanoes in my syllabus. I'm following Cambridge O Level this year. Can't tell you everything because you've got to figure it out. πBut what I can advise you on is to draw a figure and put it in your book and label everything. Sure helps you to remember it visually! πI knw I'm late in replying but hope this helps π
