Moon licked his ear and said, "My mother is a good wolf, she had no choice about sending us away and she now lives in this pack. She ran away from Waterpack after they took us away." She then said, "The pup needs someone to care for it and I will be that someone."

Lupus suddenly lashed out and bit the cougar so hard in the neckthat it collapsed on the spot. Then Lupus affectionately looked at the cub, who was shaking nervously.@hay7199

"Let's call her Blue!" Nibble suggested. The pup had already blinked its eyes open. They were big and blue. "Let's play!" Nibble laughed.

Ble sat up and whispered; "Okay." The pup had a wispy, faint voice that could barely be heard. Blue stood up, but her back right leg was limp. She tried to walk, but her leg just dragged behind her. She looked up in alarm. "I'm sorry..."

Blue smiled a little and limped out with Nibble. "Let's play 'I see'!" Nibble suggested. Blue cocked her head. "What is 'I see'?" she asked. "We spy on the other wolves. Then, if you get really good, we can go to the leader's den!" Nibble whispered.

Moon smiled at Dikata and then trotted out of the Medicine wolf's den. She saw that her sister was sleeping and was slightly surprised. Leaf always seemed tired nowadays.
