My dad is making my read the books on tape of book on of Harry Potter. Im going to a sleepover tonight and I was suppose to listen an hour of it,and then he would quiz me. I dont want to read all that boring stuff,and hes read it 8 times so the questions are going to be really descriptive.

Help? Anyone know the main parts and stuff?

@Sakura2596 SERIOUSLY? Harry Potter is one of the easiest and most entertaining books you can find. If you can't even listen to an AUDIOTAPE of it, I'm afraid to say you either have attention-span problems or video games/technology have destroyed your brain 😋
No offense intended ^^"

Oh, well the first one is introducing Privet Drive (where Harry now lives with his aunt and uncle, and his stubborn spoiled cousin Dudley). Harrys parents have died because Voldemort killed 'em Harry one day gets a letter from Hogwarts. His uncle and aunt don't want him to find out he is magical because they hate magic. His aunt and uncle throw it out. He keeps on getting more and more letters.

.... That's most of the beginning. Search up summary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone on web search. You should find one. Sorry I'm on my phone and I can't type anymore. Good luck though

@sakura2596 after the uncle and aunt ( they don't much like Harry and treat I'm awfully) throw out the letters finally Harry reads one of them and so he packs his things and plan o escape,, ( the mean uncle tries tO trap him in his room so he wont leave) Harry's friend Ron gets a magic flieng car breaks though it and takes Harry to his house. After Ron, Harry , Rona sister and brothers are ready to go to hogwarts. They go to a train station and thy have to run through a brick wall that leads I a different magic train station. After they all aboard the train Ron and Harry find a girl named harmani and the three of them are best fiends....

@Dragonriderz I'm afraid you confused it with the second book...

Harry's Uncle Vernon takes them to a cruddy shack on a little island in the middle of nowhere in order to escape the letters.
That night, Harry counts down the minutes til his eleventh birthday. Exactly on the dot the door is smashed down by a giant and pretty hairy man. His name is Hagrid and he is from Hogwarts. Harry's uncle tells him to go away, and that Harry is not going to that crazy school, but Hagrid ignores him and tells Harry abruptly that he is a wizard and what happened to his parents. The next day Hagrid takes him to Diagon Alley which is a wizarding street with lots of shops where they buy his school things, his wand, and his pet owl (which delivers letters) etc.

@sakura2596

No offense, but seriously?! Have you tried reading the book? I forced myself to read the series XD If you're not gonna read the book, then I suggest reading stuff on here: http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/harrypotter/summary.htm You can even quiz yourself on there so it can somewhat prepare you for your dad's "quiz" 😊

If you are actually listening well, than I know EVERYTHING about the books, so I can help a lot. 😃

But if you aren't listening, you should really try, because they are the best books I have ever read. 😱 They are so awesome!! 😊

Maybe, it would be easier to read the actually book instead of listening to it, cause listening is a lot harder to pay attention to and you can't really listen at your own pace. 😊

@sakura2596

Good luck with it! ^-^ I find it better to read the books than to listen to them, but everyone's different 😉
Just try it, i'm sure you'll like it...
You sound like me a year ago, but look at me now, i've read four of the books in a month.

...

So i'm a little bit of a speed reader. Xd (that's what my friend told me earlier today...she'd been trying to get me to read the books for years and out of nowhere i've read four. XD)

I'm just going to randomly guess questions that he might ask. My answers won't be word for word accurate but the idea is there. (:

* BEWARE: SPOILERS *

1. What is a bezoar?
It's a stone from the stomach of a goat and it is an antidote to most poisons.

2. What is the name of Harry's broomstick and how did get it?
It's a Nimbus 2000. He made it into the school team after performing a miraculous save on Neville's Remembrall, so McGonagal bought the broomstick for him, so that Gryffindor had a higher chance at walloping Slytherin at the next Quidditch match.

3. What is Fluffy and how do you get past Fluffy?
Fluffy is a three-headed dog. If you play Fluffy a little bit of music, Fluffy goes straight to sleep.

4. What flavour of Bertie Botts' Every Flavour Bean did Dumbledore eat in his childhood that gave him a lifetime phobia of it?
Vomit.

5. Why is Harry a great seeker?
His dad, James Potter, was a great seeker.

6. What platform do you need to get on to board Hogwarts Express?
Platform 9 and 3/4.

7. What is the name of Ron's rat?
Scabbers.

8. What is the spell for levitation? What is the wand movement for the spell?
Wingardium Leviosa. Swish and flick.

9. Who summoned the troll on Halloween?
Quirrel.

10. What does the Mirror of Erised do?
It reveals one's utmost desires. (btw, erised is desire written backwards.)
