U woud say not as easy as some eggs in the cave but common.

Suckerlops aren't rare; they're found in the cave. All creatures found in the cave besides LEs and Mos are rare.

And for pinging, you put @(insert-username-here) so it will come out like @insert-userame-here 😊

@cosmicstar101 Look at The Archives (hover over Explore). Then click on the creature (or search for it). Look at the Weighted Rarity - the higher it is, the more common it is (and vice versa). But with travels, the higher the Rarity, the rarer it is (and vice versa).

Pinging is where you alert people that you are replying to them. I pinged you at the start of my post to do just that. It only works in forum posts though. Once someone has pinged you, it goes to your Notifications page in this format: *insert_username_here* has pinged you on *insert topic name here*. It also links you to that post. To ping someone, you type @username_here (like I did with you).
