Okay... I just saw one of hte projects and now I'm REALLY annoyed. DX

People are actually giving them CC!

I can't buy CC and if I want it, I'm going to have to earn it.

And people are just giving it to someone that's practically begging for it?

I don't mind people gifting it. That's nice of them. When I get a Credit Card, I'll gift some to my friends but not people that just ASK for it.

Annoying. And I got pinged there, too. I didn't say anything or I'd have been snappy so I just ignored it.

If you see topics that are blatantly begging, I'd just report them and let a moderator handle it.

These topics are in a gray-area... I personally don't like seeing them either. 😋

*cough* *cough*

There's nothing to see here.

Actually, I just erased it because my words could be taken the wrong way and I mean no offence to anyone. >_>

@Viola @Whispers

I dunno if you read it but in one of the last paragraphs it states that me and my sister @Kitty19cat will get gifts back to people who donate.. -_-

@miami_heat I think the point they were trying to make was: if you're going to "gift" back to the people that donate, why not just trade with them instead?

@zac

I have to get all the gifts... if people gift a lot of CC or whatever then I get them a rarer gift.. so i can't really just get it there immediately.. I will gift them back.

@blackdeathkitty

I fully agree. And especially considering CC is bought with REAL money.

Oh man... I didn't want this to become an argument...

@blackdeathkitty

I don't think it's an argument. >_>

And it's okay to express your opinion. XD

I think it's more of a debating of views. And disagreeing. No one's being rude to each other as far as I can tell.

Still..won't trading be better?

@leafpelt

I think it would.

Lots of people use EC to trade for CC. >_>

And it's not hard to make EC, just time consuming, anyone can do it. There's no excuse like 'I'm not good at games' or whatever.,

My computer is very slow and barely functions and I still make EC. I admit it's frustrating sometimes but can be done.

@april_
Yeah, but you can also raise creatures for EC. Or, convince your parents. XD It's time consuming, but it's better than begging.

@leafpelt

That's all true.

Begging is very annoying.

I never thought about raising creatures for EC... I should try that.

I'm 18 and can't go ask my parents to buy me fake creatures on a site, lol! But I can raise creatures. >_>

@blackdeathkitty

I completely agree with your original post! The ___Project topics and hashtags make me so frustrated-I'm a minor, and my parents would never even consider buying CC, since it costs real money. I have to trade for it. I see people making topics that, straight to the point, say "Hey, I want this super rare, old, valuable creature, and I have nothing to trade for it, so please give me stuff." I suppose it's alright if you're going to "gift them back". Although, I don't see the point in that-why not just trade with them? Or like @april_ said-if you don't ask for donations, and you're simply showing people that you're trying to achieve a goal and asking for motivation, and they offer a little something to help you along-that's perfectly okay. But pretty much what most people are doing is not only rude, but against the rules-for creature begging, and simply against the rules just for being rude. Sorry this is so long! 😋

I agree with this. People should work for their creatures, not expect them to be handed to them. As said, you can build up EC without any skill whatsoever, just dedication and time. And if you aren't willing to put in the time and just want to beg for someone then it's questionable whether you deserve said desired creature anyway.

@sunshinecat

That is completely true.

If this creature is really your dream creature, why don't you put the time and effort into it? Is it not worth achieving yourself? And if it isn't, then do you REALLY want said creature?

Deleted • 11 June 2012 at 2:40 AM

@sunshinecat
@april__

That's true!! I completely agree-I've got a cove of 100 creatures-some of them my dream creatures-and I traded fairly for every single one of them. I never begged and I was never pushy. Ok I may have been a -little- pushy, but not so pushy that people thought I was rude (that I know of). 😋

I work hard enough to get where I am now :]
Sometimes I do realize I annoy people by posting on their wall about my trades. But at least, Im trading for what I want.

I hope people realize what project have become nowadays. They turn out to be begging project, Instead of helping them out.
People are getting annoyed because of this.

Anyway, Im not on any side. 😃
So, Good luck solving this. Tehee~

Yeah, it seems a bit unfair, because I WORK for my creatures, first, at home I need to make some money by doing extra chores, then I need to convince my parents that I deserve the CC and that Egg Cave is a site that isn't a waste of my time, then I need to haggle with other users. Then I find out that people are getting creatures -- pretty much for free!

Of course, I got Clair for free at an adoption agency, but that was just a lucky snatch c: But I don't think that it is very fair to make it a public thing.

@blackdeathkitty
I feel your pain 😋 It took me 7 months on Egg Cave to build up enough creatures to get a CS creature. And I'm pretty sure that person was just being generous xD When I see people sort of begging for CC like this I find it annoying that I had to wait and build up my cove for 7 MONTHS to get what they get in a day for begging.

For everybody who posted ______ projects for support, not donations, get that dreamie!

Deleted • 11 June 2012 at 6:51 AM

@zafeyry

I see lots of people on other people's walls saying things like 'I NEED CC GIVE ME SOME NOW!' or 'I WANT YOUR NYM'.

You can't just ask like that!

But the whole _____ Project thing starts to seem like asking for money, CC, EC, and CREATURES, which I won't give to an (Egg Cave) stranger for free.

I don't see why some are so persistent into getting creatures.

Take your time...

*wears shades and chill*

Deleted • 11 June 2012 at 7:51 AM

@suikadaisuki84 Did I spell that right?

The thing is, often if you wait more, the creatures value goes up. Next month the CC pets for this month will be selling for 600 CC

I know it took me up until March(when my idea was made) to get my first CC critter. Then I started working extra hard to achieve my dremies. I haven't completed half the list cause I'm lazy xD
But still - I wouldn't give anything I worked hard for to someone who's not doing much besides begging to get what they want.

@blackdeathkitty (yes you spelled suikadaisuki84 correctly)

Ahh I see..
Perhaps I'm still new to this 'system' of sorts.
But in a way, I meant persistence to get creatures by 'begging'.

And the take one's time.. It's just me. :x

@suikadaisuki84

Well, yes. Begging won't help you. In my opinion, begging just makes you seem low. Like your too lazy to actually work for what you want.

Hopefully with this topic, many will read it and try to avoid this act.

*sigh*

Throughout this whole topic, it is logically understood that such acts are looked down upon. Hopefully no one will go against it.

Deleted • 11 June 2012 at 8:11 AM

@suikadaisuki84 Yeah... I don't want to start an argument, though. I'm just putting out my opinion.
