I just joined here, but am confused on how to grow my eggs. So do different breeds need different numbers of views/clicks/feeds :/

Yes, that's right. Different types of creatures need different things to evolve. You can find information on what creatures need to evolve in the Archives: http://eggcave.com/archives You can also get to the Archives under the Explore tab.
