Power Outage

Well... I was sleeping, with my noisy air conditioner, and then I woke up. Well, I was a little too dazed and tired, and so I didn't realize that the air conditioner AND the fish tank light were off. So, I reached for the lightswitch and tried to turn on the lights. xD Of course, that didn't work. So my face was pretty much this as I struggled to find a light: D:. No, it was EXACTLY like that.

But, everyone in my family is awake now, because none of us can sleep without a fan or air conditioner. I went to bed at 2 am! I guess that's my fault, but I still didn't expect to get only 2 hours of sleep. I won't be going back to bed anytime soon.

I went outside with my brother and explored the darkness with really small flashlights. The second time, I was looking out the window upstairs, and I saw my brother outside downstairs, and he was in the neighbor's yard. He was looking in one specific spot and I heard him ask, "hello?". I knew something was tickling him so I kept watching and my CAT was outside! She scared him! xD

Yeah, I have a lot of lights. The power's back, though, so it's okay. :] I don't know what caused it to go out, that's the thing. It wasn't storming or anything... *shrug*

I once had a power outage and I walked into the guest room in my house. I heard a thumping sound and freaked out before running into the room. It ended up being my dog shaking because she was afraid of the dark. XD

I've experienced them a few times myself. It's funny how panicked we all get when power goes off, shows how strongly we depend on power.
