Bennett, rest in peace. <3

So, yesterday. I went to get my mower to mow the lawn. Then I found this tiny, newborn fawn hiding under the wheelbarrow. ❤️ My dad told me not to mow, so I wouldn't scare it away from the "safe-place" that it's mother placed it in. I decided to name him Bennett. I have not rhyme or reason for actually choosing, except that I liked the name. I drew him all curled up (and it sucks!).

So today, I went to go check on it. It was the most sad sight. It was dead. Either it's mother couldn't get to it, it was sick, or it's mother never came back for it. My dad buried it in our yard. He said we would get a ceramic deer, and place it on there, and have a flower garden around it. I decided I would call it, "Bennett's Heaven". I am just so sad right now ;~;

I see the hope,
I dream when I'm awake,
I walk on warm breezes.,
I dance on clouds,
I touch their hearts.
I am no longer silenced,
No longer neglected.
I am now accepted,
I now love freely.
I will one day bring Heaven to Earth,?
But for now I must wait to see the others left behind.

The Department of Natural Resources told us to leave it alone, that it's mama will come. I thought that we would have a little fawn running around.

That is so sad. I love animals, and I would be distraught if an animal died. I am so sorry for you. Rest in peace, Bennett. I hope you had a good life.
