Their songs are annoying. And I don't like their voices. Too much like Justin Beiber. And I hate JB. And their songs are like JB. And before I knew that "What makes you Beautiful" song was by them, I thought it was JBs.

Personnally, I agree with Whispers, I don't like them much. They have this baby face for 20 year olds, they re-sung the Fresh Prince of Bel Air's opening(one of my favorite old shows) and led people to believe they made it, plus I don't like their lyrics for most of their songs. Just my honest opinion.

Truthfully, I hate them.

Like any other boy band, their songs are meaningless, their songs are to attract attention to fangirls, alls I'm saying is they're fake, I can't stand them.

I think of them more as a virus.
Luckily they don't affect me at all.

Their songs are mainstream. And hating them is becoming mainstream. Just like Justin Beiber. People only hate them because 'everyone' else does.

@steinway While there are people who follow trends of 'hating' popular singers/actors/whatever, some people just genuinely don't enjoy their songs. The people who follow trends (whether liking or disliking something) just tend to be more vocal about it.

@james-bond You don't have to be following the crowd to voice an opinion, it's just that people following a crowd will be more *likely* to voice an opinion. It also depends on the context, whether they're loudly proclaiming their hate or just answering someone's question.

Personally, I don't mind 1D, they are rather average and it's quite a typical boyband, however I don't hate them.

What I do dislike is how some "directioneers" or whatever you call them, bash other people for not sharing their opinion.

@james-bond I don't get how the people who dislike something aren't going to care? Shouldn't that be the people who are more neutral than the people who hate something? People who hate something will feel more strongly against it, and therefore more likely to say something.

And yeah, this thread wasn't a question, so the people here are voicing their opinion without prompt, so may possibly be 'following the crowd'. But not definitely (as a sidenote, some people don't read entire threads and just reply to the first post).
