Remember (way back when) the way creatures were gifted to other users? Back then, people would give away free creatures- no matter HOW rare they were.

Now, it's all about rarity and value. It really annoys me, because people are REALLY greedy. That old tradition we had kept us together like a close family.

Okay, pretend EggCave's a big family. (Yep, 35000+ people! 😃) If your brother or sister asks you for some electronic you own (and don't really like), you wouldn't give it to them with a price, right?

Basically, giving eggs away for free was how most people got their eggs then, and now it's trading.

Yes, I really miss the Old Egg Cave.

I came on during the summer last year and everyone was so nice and caring towards me. But that has changed drastically.

It makes me think that this site is becoming more like Neopets, which is why I left there.

And I hate how it's becoming a game of who has the most money.

Something else that really annoys me, when someone has say, 15 olimpts, they won't even give away one to someone who's been searching for one. Even when you offer some fabulous egg!

I used to have a account on here, and it's true. But I already have a Flunny and a Schnee, so it shows that if you have a look round you will find someone who is kind enough XD

@leopardclaws I think it's so selfish when some people are really desperate for just one LE egg and then there's some selfish person who has a whole cove of them!

Well, I wouldn't just give all my hard earned eggs to someone I don't know, but when I have extras I give them away [For a price, but a fair one] Or, I give something generous for something that's not common, but not rare

(I gave someone a Lemac for an Elge, when they were still in the caves. Because they didn't have that many LEs]


I can't hate on people, because they probably traded their hard-earned eggs for the those 15+ creatures.


One newbie //yelled// at me for having 4 brownils, saying it was unfair.

My philosophy is - Try to help others, unless you yourself end up with a loss.


So, if you have many eggs, maybe give one or two to someone - but don't feel like you //have to//

[In more serious matters this doesn't apply, but on eggcave it does - for me]

I used to have a adoption center, but know I noticed that the ones adopting were n00bs and they were just like " I like that and this, give them to me". And the eggs profiles said "NFT" or "Never UFT" or something like that. When thy asked for UFA ones I give it to them but they never say anything after that. Not even a thanks. So now I am keeping them for a DOOVOO or 2nd stage tine. I don't think this is greedy, but
Does anyone?

I was browsing the Elge trades whilst the Elge was STILL in the cave, and people were listing what they wanted for the Elge, such as new CC eggs. I don't understand why people who get extra's of the new eggs cannot give at least one away to somebody who had no luck. Why must something that's new be "priced"? Any why for something so unworth it?

I understand with old LE's, as there's less of them around. But when new eggs come out in the future, I plan on being one of the users who - like in the early days of egg cave - gives out any extra's to whoever needs it. I don't want to be greedy on this site, unlike some people who only care about their own selfish gain.

*end rant*

Egg cave was, and still is, a family. 😊 It's just difficult for some people to see it like that, that's all. ^^

the old eggcave............such a great place to be...........I hate that I quited a month or two after I started☹️............the ghosty plot was too hard back then(I had just turned 10)

I feel like your right. I was never on the old eggcave but i don't like how people trade like this.

I had a few extra egles and i gave them to those who were unlucky for free (well a junk eggy) but still why can't people be like that instead of asking for a CC creature for an egle?

i have 2 creatures that i still want for my cove, and once i get those i'm donating my remaining trade eggs to helping others find their dreamies.

just need a first stage tine and a tenalp!!

I liked the old ec better too. Nevermind the dama, this trading seems a bit unfair too. But the thing that REALLY bugs me is the newbie wishists. I mean, I see tons of newbs put a bunch of junk eggs in the trade and ask for stuff like an ONNy. :/ And I know this creature value and greediness thing is urking, but I honestly don't know people who ould adopt out an ONNY, unless it was to a good friend that was quitting. :/ I dunno.

But I liked the old ec community a lot. People didn't complain over creature values and helped people out. Examples, @Squirrelvader traded me his tine in exchange for a few crws, and turned down tons of better offers, smply because him and I were friends. And when I was desperate for an Eyleymo as a newbie, I was looking for an eyleymo, and put a few hatched creatures in a lot, and @Chloekins offered an eyleymo on it. 😃 Even though my lot wasn't amazing.

But now, it's all like, "I'll only trade this for a tine or onny or macbot or doovoo" or "No i mean i really want that creature but i don't wanna trade this one." It drivesme INSANE. The only reason I have so many creatures is because I try to trade them, but I CAN'T. Because people ask for too much. So I end up getting attached to the creatures.


Just... Ugg. >.<

I gave away a couple of my 2009Christmas eggs when I had a few spares.
Now it's not the same anymore. Because of that, my hamster-hoardingness has kicked in and yeah...

Either way, we'll still lose.

My first Tine was free.
My friend got an Onny (which is now mine) free because she asked politely.
All people care about is CC creatures now. "Hey, I have 50 CC creatures! WBU?" I would say, "Shut up. I'm proud of my cove how it is and I don't need any cc creatures (besides my Luvvys) to be happy. c:" xD Anyway, I'm happy with my rarer than CC creatures Tines and all my other eggs okay? Thank you.
