I think the creator of trade threads should be able to close (Lock, make disappear, or another special symbol) the trade forums they make once the trade is finished. If not closed, people should be encouraged to state that the trade is closed on their first post. When I look through trade forums, I don't know which are still open for trade.

I also think there should be more contests for endangered species, not re-releases in the cave as some have suggested. The 1 billionth view for example, I thought was a great event. Perhaps a prize for:
. the person who does the most feeds in a day?
. The best poem about an egg cave creature?
. The best design for a new SRC creature?
. The first person to post the millionth post on the 'Count to 1 million' thread?
. A prize draw from people who gift on 'gifting day' (gifts would have to be below a certain weighted rarity level or something along those lines).
. People guess which Alkub will win the next race until there is 1 winner (Process of elimination each day)
. An art competition

There are so many possibilities, there can even be a thread to suggest all these contests. (How about this one?)

@james-bond Agree on both counts. The first suggestion would make finding open trades easier.

The second suggestion looks good, apart from maybe making the 'contests' less creativity based? If it's a poem, it'll be too subjective and people will complain (I mean, it is Ian's or whoever's choice, but it's best to try reduce drama).

Edit: Yeah, true. If the poems are kept quiet it should be okay.

@sunshinecat Thank you. 😊 But I disagree to your comment about the poem one actually. Only the mods will be able to see all of the poems. And who's to post threads saying "My poem was WAY better that the one that won! Boo hoo."? @sunshinecat Yeah, it'd be hard showing ALL of the poems publicly.

@james-bond
I agree with both points.
And maybe they could do art contests too? 😉
