how does your country celebrate?

Just curious to know if your country has a holiday dedicated to it, like our ever so cleverly named Canada Day. XD

I was just thinking of it since Canada Day was on the 1st.

And how do you celebrate said holiday?

I'm Canadian too! I just moved to Quebec, so I'd have to say they celebrated Canada Day with protests. XD

I've also lived in Russia too. Over there the holiday is called Russia Day. It's on June 12th. The official name is "Day of adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation". What a mouthful!!! 😋

Lolz. We celebrated this year with fireworks at the camp i work at. One tipped over and chased the people setting them up a little. no one got hurt, so we got to laugh about it after.

@dada_dragon I live in the U.S.A. but also consider myself Mexican because thats where most of my family is and I'm fluent in Spanish.
For the U.S. 4th of July which we celebrate with fireworks.
In Mexico is Mexico's Independence Day which we also celebrate with fireworks. 😋

Hahaha i'm Russian and even though i live in New Zealand we still celebrate it 😊. Don't worry, much less of a mouthful when said in Russian ;D.

And New Zealand doesn't really have an independence day. We have Waitangi Day on the 6th of February, which is when they signed New Zealand's founding treaty.

So close enough i guess? :L

I live in Australia but I am from Sri Lanka. We have independence day and Sri Lankan New Year and for Australia Australia Day. When we are in SL we celebrate New Year with fireworks.

Lol. Fireworks seem popular. In my hometown we have a whole festival day by the pond and since canada is so multicultural, there's a ton of cultural dances and food. It's a pretty fun mix. You get to see people of so many different backgrounds.
