Random Smily Face?

When ever you post < and ) right next to each other it looks like this: <)

It messes up my hug collection, and there isn't even a wink face!

It's because the < symbol is commonly found in code and to protect against hackers, every symbol is converted to its HTML entity. In this case, &lt;

Because there's a ; at the end of the entity and the following character is a ), the system interprets it as an emoticon and the image is displayed.
