EC into CC suggestion

Hey all 😊

I (along with SO many others) do not own a credit card, and to be honest I don't have any means at all to get CaveCash. And so i always admire each month's CC creatures, but i can never buy one. I reckon that there should be a part of the site, maybe in Ark City that you can exchange EC for CC?

Obviously the exchange rate would have to be worth it, something around 10,000 CC for 1 EC, so that you would have to work hard feeding pets in order to earn it. And i think i've heard that some people offer to do this, to trade CC for large amounts of EC, but i think it would be easier if people could do it on the site so that they aren't ripped off or cheated by others.

What do you guys think?

This has been suggested a few times over.

The reason we have CC is to keep the site going, it is how Ian and the artists get paid.

If they don't get paid, we do not have Egg Cave ☹️

@angelbones - I think these ideas are great, as long as you have to spend a LOT to get the CC. Unfortunately, those that are able to get their own CC will probably reject this idea. 😋

I mean, there will still be those willing to trade their REAL cash for CC.

True, but it would still be a nice option, because if the said exchange rate was really crazy, than you couldn't feed your own cove and get a CC creature, you'd really have to work for it.

Yeah, A LOT XD. And true.... But they must understand that something like this would make the game a bit more fair for everyone?

@angelbones - Yeah, cause I joined another site that was saying 'Come join our site for FREE!' and so I joined, cause the pets looked cute, but then realized you had to buy all but fifteen pets with real money. -_- I felt cheated.

True, i would feel pretty horrible as well... And even with LEs that are already out there, to get them people will only take CC, and really ridiculous amounts as well.... You have to give the little guys some sort of chance at least...

Fair or unfair, or whatever you want to call it.

People in the real world who work for their money need to get paid.

@angelbones - Exactly. I remember my sister GIVING away a foo back in the site's first year and now you'd have to pay somewhere around 30$ to get one. Of course, then that user then allowed the foo to die, but that's beside the point. 😋

I'm not saying that this would be the only available way to get CC.... People who actually have the means will keep buying the CC and getting LE's like that, and so everyone will still get paid whats owed to them. Rather harsh how you won't even give the suggestion a chance...

What?? She gave away a Foo? Crazy girl..... But yeah, things have gotten to the point where it's almost impossible for a non-paying player to get an LE.

This has been suggested multiple times. Ian has already stated that he will not be implementing an Egg Coin to CaveCash converter.

@angelbones Actually, there is a difference. Without an official converter, Ian still sells all of the CC currently in circulation and the people with EC must find a person who's actually willing to trade.

I never said there wasn't a difference, just that the main goal of getting CC is still achieved in the end ^^.

CC inflation is demanding more and more EC for less and less CC.

Agreed...... But that's just people looking to make money off their "services".. Just the way it is :/
