Any time I see a ferret, they have these two blue/black dots in their right ear. O_O Both my ferrets at my house have that, and whenever I see ferrets at a pet store, they have the two little dots as well. đą Is this a symbolization that the ferrets are pets or something? I don't know why they're there. >.>

@Skibunny9 They're so cute. đą Last year my sister wanted a pet ferret, so my mom found some on Craig's list and my dad and I drove up to New Hampshire for a few hours to pick them up. They came with a whole cage and food and toys and everything! My ferret's name is Tito, and my sister's ferret is Cocoa. đ They sleep A LOT, but whenever they're awake they demand attention. They have a naturally musky odor, so they stink up your house. XD They use the bathroom in a litterbox, I find it funny. đThe ferrets at PetCo do sleep a lot more, though. And they smell worse because they're in a glass box-type thingy instead of a cage that fresh air can get into.I was looking up some pictures on Google images. A LOT of ferrets have the dots in their ears. đą

@dreamerMy dad said if I get a bird or a ferret, my dogs would probably find some way to get up to their cages and eat them. âšī¸

@dreamerEar tattoos are to symbolize things like neutering and shots they need. They could also be which breeder had them.Or which type of ferret they are.EDIT also look on their toes, they might have them there as well.

@Skibunny9 Aww. D: I have birds too, but my dog never tries to eat them.My ferrets are up in our bathroom upstairs, and my dog NEVER goes upstairs. When our cat was still alive, they both hated eachother, my cat's territory was upstairs, and my dog stays downstairs. That could be why. XDAnd trust me, depending on the size of your dog, I think the ferrets could fend for themselves. My sister's ferret chases our dog around, who's like seven times the ferret's size. đ My dog is afraid of all our animals. She just barks and runs away.

@dreamerHa! That's cool how that works. If i even brought a pet Tarantula in my house my dogs would bark at it, because they know its alive. My dogs are pathetic sometimes, but they are adorable, when their angry. XD

@dreamerTo see the toe tattoo you'll have to wet the paws or push the hair back. Two dots are from a place in NYOne is they are fixed, a second is their sent glands are removed.Toe Tattoos could be anything đ

@Piucca I checked their toes earlier, and I didn't see dots there. đI know ferrets have to be fixed, because it can be dangerous to breed them... Something about temperature? XD They do still give off a musky odor from their scent glands, but they have both dots.

@dreamerok in that case they are both from NY đthe musk will always be there, by the gland is removed so it isn't so over powering.
