Um...
Iris are a rare breed of creature, who live in the deep jungles of the ark. They are very docile animals, but can be very dangerous when protecting their young. Their coloring comes from their ancient legends, about how once, there was an Iris who was facinated by Rainbows. She wanted to go to the end of one, but she was shamed. She ran away, never to be seen again. But one day, one of her offspring came back to the other Iris, but with Rainbow fur. After that, all Iris had Rainbow colored fur.
