WARNING: High school-esque drama. Hopefully it will be the last of its kind.

So I had this friend. She is going to be a senior this year and I am out of high school, so I never will have to see her again anyway. But, here is goes...

We had known each other since 4th grade or so, pretty close for the most part but not necessarily inseparable, and I finished school with a pretty patchy friendship with her.

Well, today I wanted to show her something that reminded me of her. I go on my facebook to find I'm no longer her friend. I refriend her and tell her what had happened, and she told me that I had "replaced her and we don't talk much."

It doesn't make much sense that she would just decide to delete me for something that happened during the school year, right at the end of the summer. I apologized if it seemed as though I was trying to replace her. It really wasn't my intention. She was just a lot more outgoing than I was and I spent a lot of my time in my school's resource room. That's how I became so close to the friend whom she claims to be my replacement. I still tried to talk to her when I saw her. She was always with other friends and seemed to be having fun without me. So I just don't understand.

Long story short, everything just kind of blew up right now. A well-meaning friend whom she also deleted said something to her...and now I'm blocked.

I really don't want to make myself sound like the victim here as I don't think I'm completely innocent either. As I said, maybe I just don't understand. Maybe this is where my lack of social skills is coming in to bite me in the butt. I don't know. All I know is that I feel awful.

Sorry about that ☚ī¸ I have this "friend" Who is nice to me somedays and others she just blows up in my face. :'( I never know what I did either....I try to be nice to evryone. So I kinda know your pain.....like one time the girl said that I couldn't be friends with my BFF from Pre-school ☚ī¸ Sometimes people are just like that.

@metaphor
Maybe something happened? Try to think back.

@leafpelt

We have history with some pretty nasty disagreements, I won't deny it. I am a very sensitive person, and perhaps that is part of the problem.

I guess it's best that we left it at that. There really is no use in fighting anymore.

I think that walking away and letting go might be the best solution, if she doesn't mess with you, of course.

@metaphor If she doesn't think you're friends anymore, then don't try to go back and "patch up" your friendship. She probably won't appreciate that. She's made it clear (now) that she doesn't want to be friends with you (unfortunately).

Not everyone will suit you. That's the way it is 😉

@karamel

And I'm totally okay with that. I just don't get why "my replacing her" was an issue out of nowhere. I don't know, I'm not going to worry about it. We're going in different directions now.

@metaphor Like leafpelt said, it's best to let it go. Forget and move on. 😊

Well, now that one friend is mad at her for always texting her just for ringtones.

@metaphor

Well if you two are really that different and you both are going in separate directions then maybe you should let it drop? Perhaps when this has calmed down more you could approach her again and clear things up.

Good luck!

DFTBA~

Meh, somehow I feel it's not worth it. She'll probably find some reason to pick a fight with me again. And I'm not the only person to have had problems with her. The one friend I supposedly replaced her with has gotten blocked and whatnot by her many times as well. Just yesterday, said friend asked her to stop texting her just for her ringtones...and that didn't end well.😋

She's just not an easy person to reason with.
