I'm a little nervous though. I've owned fish before, but never a betta. Apparently, the first 24 hours after transporting them are the most critical. I hope I haven't done anything wrong.

You could! Everything was pretty cheap, and it doesn't take up much room at all!

And Betta should be kept apart. If you put them in the same tank, they'll kill each other. And if you put them in two different tanks next to each other, they'll just tire themselves out trying to attack.

@solaris *shrug* maby some day but cats are kindof like frogs with how high they can jump. i am saving up for a bearded dragon (lizard) though. i dont see how he would be able to get that because it would just be too big for him (they get really big)

Neat! Lizards are so cool! As for the cats, I guess I forgot about the jumping part because the cats that I live with can't jump very high. And they actually don't seem interested in my fish at all.

Thanks! I love him too! I bought him a special betta leaf hammock today.
I used to have a big tank when I was younger. I even had this fish that was three years old by the time we had to move and I had to give him away.
Do you think your parents wouldn't even let you have a betta? Mine takes barely any room.

Oh dear. I once had frogs too. Tadpoles actually. They almost made it to frog status. But one day, I walked into my room and the floor was covered in water and my tadpoles were flopping around! My cat (she was young back then and could jump well) had knocked the whole thing over. They were saved, but later died. ☹️

Haha! That sort of reminds me of what I did in Russia. I was walking with my friend and this bird landed in front of us. It was a white wagtail. (Go Google it, it's seriously neat looking). When I saw it, I totally flipped out. I was like, "Oh my gosh! Look at that bird! That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!" (They also bang their tails on the ground after they land, so I was extra excited.) My friend looked at me really weirdly. It turns out they're pretty common over there. So, basically, it would be like someone freaking out over a pigeon. XD

I think my mom was just opposed to the Idea of having a container with water in the house that had to be cleaned even though I promised to clean it. But my friend had a fish tank and it messed up making all the fish die. I think that's what made my parents say no.

@solaris yeah they were little water frogs. i kept on getting new ones and putting them in heavier things but hes really strong. i ended up giving my last one to my friend but then mine and hers died ☹️ we had an awesome funeral, though 😊
