Jason didn't understand. Why did Jane start to cry so suddenly? Was it because she didn't want to be his slave? Jason thought. He felt pity for her, yet, he wasn't clear on why she was sobbing as if her parents had died.

Jason put a hand on her back. "What's wrong?" he asked worriedly. After all, he didn't want to see his slave start crying everyday. Not that he cared. Okay, maybe a little.
