Cross country started & we did 4 miles monday & 5 miles yesterday because my coach is really pushing us to be good this year & she said the next 3 days will be harder so she's saying she's going to make us run a lot today, thursday & on the first day of school ( friday ) right now I am aching ALL OVER. I can barely walk down the stairs. My legs feel so heavy & sore. Does anyone else do cross country & know how to get rid of muscle aches for a short amount of time/ or very fast so I can run well today? Im in the top 5 for my team so anyone who's in xc knows how stressful it is when you are injured & we are barely into the season and im already injured. I need some way to relieve pain so i can run instead of feeling like my sore muscles are dragging me down. I already tried heating them, icing them, stretching, & before I run I think i'm going to take some ibuprofen. Anyone have any tips to get rid of the pain? I'm always limping around during cross country season

Try the ibuprofen, that always helps me, and I do the mile for track
