I ice skated for a couple of hours today, and now I have a blister that's on a blister that hasn't completely healed yet. -_- It does NOT feel good. So, uh, what should I use for making it feel better? 8D

@awesomeness365 Ouchies.. I skate also and get blisters a lot. Where I skate, there's a pro shop (AKA a shop inside the rink ) and they sell gel sleeves that you slip on over your ankle and they prevent blisters, but they are quite pricey. Those are for preventing blisters, but to heal, I think you'll just have to let it heal on it's own.

@awesomeness365Unfortunately, there's not much one can do for a blister besides just let it get better on its own....though there is an alternate (and rather painful) method. You take some thread and a sewing needle, thread the needle (be sure to tie off the loose ends), then stab it through the blister so the thread sticks out both sides. Cut the needle free, then knot the newly-loose ends together and leave it there for awhile. The thread eventually soaks up the fluid in the blister.

@fuzzykins412: Oh, my rink has those too, they're just too expensive. D8 They look squishy though. xD@pipkitten: OW! I think I'll just put a Band Aid on it an let it heal by itself. xD I think would be bawling if I did that... ._.

@awesomeness365They are very squishy xD When I'm not wearing them, i'm squishing them.

@awesomeness365Haha, good plan. ^^The thread method definitely isn't for those who have a low pain threshold! I've done it a time or two, but then again, I don't really mind a bit of pain. xD

@fuzzykins412: Nice. xD
fuzzykins412 • 2 September 2012 at 11:59 PM
@pipkitten OWWIE âšī¸ I would never have the courage to do that. I would be crying my eyes out before the needle even touched me.

@pipkitten: xD I can endure a punch, kicks, etc. but I can't go near a needle... to many bad experiences. D:

@pipkitten - đą Wow, that's a brave thing to do. Last time I had to get near a needle (my last shot) I nearly passed out on the doctor's table. XD
pipkitten • 3 September 2012 at 12:11 AM
@Fuzzykins412You've got a fear of needles, I'm guessing?@Awesomeness365I've never had a bad experience with a needle, myself....though I dread the gigantic kind doctors sometimes have to use. I hope to god that if one of those is ever used on me, I'm out cold. xD@Vampire666I wouldn't consider it brave, lol. xDWhen I was little, I wouldn't go near a needle. They scared me. đ Later on, I learned they were just a part of life and I may as well accept them since it was pointless to throw a fit.
vampire666 • 3 September 2012 at 12:13 AM
@pipkitten - Well, good on you for conquering that fear. đ Meanwhile, I will still go hide in a corner whenever a needle is near. XP
awesomeness365 • 3 September 2012 at 12:16 AM
@pipkitten I HATE the gigantic kinds. O.O They look so scary.. D:@vampire666 xD Samezies here!
fuzzykins412 • 3 September 2012 at 11:12 AM
@pipkitten Oh god, those kinds scare me...

-_- I just smushed the blister into the leg of the chair. IT HURTS LIKE CRAZZZYYYYYYYY!!! I'll learn not to swing my legs too freely when I have a blister on my heel. ._.

@awesomeness365OMG ow! That reminds me of when I first came to Thailand the mosquitos attacked me EVERYWHERE! I had like 10,000 bites all over my body. AND I had mosqito bites ON TOP OF mosquito bites. ;A; I feel your pain... *pats back*
