I think the eggstage should be an egg with same shape asthe rest and then that design on it.

1) What do you mean 'that design on it'? A pattern of two eggs or the red-orange-yellow thing?
2) How would two creatures fit inside one egg? Kinda cramped, don't you think? 😋
3) It wouldn't be the only differently-shaped egg. Think Onny, Doovoo, Macbot, Rhinedorf...

Less legs? No, if they had less than they do they wouldn't be able to support their bodies 😋
Hey, they're reeeeaaally long, even if they had four pairs of legs it wouldn't support them well 😋
