@emsn I believe it is time for Shadow to get a cutie mark don't you? Eapecially with her care for her friends.

"No let me carry you to your house. You're in no condition to walk home.'" I tell her firmly and pick her up and place her on my back.

Shadow snarled, "I'm not going home." and leaped from the stallion's back, standing her ground.

Shadow felt a tingling on her flank, and looked down to see a little cutie mark that looked like blazing green fire.

Gasping, Shadow looked back at the stallion, her face lighting up with elation

Prancing in a cirle, she chanted, "I got my cutie mark! I got my cutie mark! I got my cutie mark!" giggling, she jumped about.

Shadow smiled, "Wherever I have to to find somepony to break the emerald." but as she spoke, her expression suddenly turned serious.

"I will travel all across Equestria if I have to. I will do everything in my power to free Tusami and destroy Dargon Born." and in the moment, Shadow looked not like a filly, but an old, jaded and cold mare.

"Which probably means that I will travel with you."

Shadow laughed, but it was cold. "I don't even know your name. Oh, and I'm Shadow." Shadow smiled again, but it didn't quite touch her eyes. "I will sleep in the castle." she said, her bluster waning. "It's not like I'm wanted anywhere else. Like I said, nopony likes me."

GingerBread and GingerSnap trotted after Derpy , GingerSnap with an ear to ear grin on her face. GingerBread however was thinking of what other ponies she would meet.

Shadow turned back to Flame as he was cut off, and saw the green pony from before. "Flame~!" she shrieked, before barreling into the other pony.

Shadow lead the mare to the ruined castle in the Everfree forest. Suddenly stopping, she turned to WIld Nature and said, "This might be really hard on you, and I want you to be prepared." her little face looked deadly serious.

Sighing, Shadow lead Wild nature into the small room with Tusami. Trying to look brave, Shadow puffed out her chest a bit. "Flame says only a family member can break the emerald.... So I'm on a quest to find one of Tusami's family members." she said, looking awfully pained.

She solomnly touched her head to the stone.
