I feel really weird right now.

I feel a pain in my teeth, a strong pressure. I want to hold my jaw shut and grind them together. But doing that makes it worse.

I don't know what the heck is wrong with me - and it comes and goes randomly.

Does anybody know what causes this? Or is this just something that's normal?

I don't think that's normal. My jaw has acted weird some summer mornings, but I haven't heard of that.

@whsipers that happens to me sometimes. I don't know whether it's normal or not. If it keeps acting up you should see a dentist. It could be early signs of a cavity.

@whispers
That used to happen to me a lot. I just kept using over the counter stuff and it just kept getting worse so I went to the dentist. I ended up having to get immediate oral surgery and was on meds for a while because I had an abscess on my gums. You should go to the dentist as soon as you can and describe your symptoms.

@rileytibbles_side For me it was just a cavity. O_O My brother had to have dental surgery and then two weeks later normal surgery. He puked like seven times after the surgery.

@whispers , well maybe it could have something to do with the flu shot. *pokes status* Did you get braces recently? Are your teeth somewhat loose? How old are you? If you're younger your jaw could be shifting because your face is getting bigger as you grow. Or you could have a case of TMG or lock jaw.It happens to me every once in a while,and it just means your upper jaw is swollen. Can you describe the feeling a little more?
Was I any help?

@daffyduck3500
It was going on before that evil thing >.>
I don't have braces, and I won't need them. My teeth aren't loose, and I'm thirteen.
Okay I can describe them more:

It feels as if something is pushing down on my top teeth, and up on my lower teeth. And I try to a wiggle a tooth - won't budge. So they're not coming loose. Then I close my jar to try to ease the feeling. Then I feel a lot of pressure in my teeth, and sometime's I'll even feel pressure in my head.

Is that better?

@izzfred
I don't think it's a cavity. I take good care of my teeth (brushing for 3 min, flossing, mouth wash)

@whispers you never know. I cared for my teeth well too and I have a filling. I'm not even ten yet.

@whispers I think I have a "bad tooth". Sometimes it'll hurt when I eat with it, and sometimes it just hurts at random times. It isn't loose, and it doesn't have a cavity. I would like to say that your situation is normal, but I can't be sure. >_o I'd fail to be a doctor or dentist. xD

@whispers nope you are not normal.

xD J.K don't worry, your tooth is just sore. Over use or something like that. will be gone soon. (happens to me sometimes.)

@whispers

Could be your wisdom teeth, maybe? That happened to me when mine were coming in, and it hurt LIKE HECK.

Have the dentist give you an x-ray. That's how I figured out that's what my pain was. You might have to get them removed, you might not. Depends on the person. I did, all four of them, but I also had braces and have a very small mouth.

@whispers It may be a tooth ache, far as I know tooth aches are pretty common. People have them every day, I would suggest getting some Oral Gel, just curry it with it. When the pain takes place, use the Oral Gel, it'll numb your mouth taking away all the hateful pain, well not all.

@whispers

Yeah, it's possible, depending on the person. Mine were in when I was around 14. Got them removed freshman year of high school.
