The 2012 Apocalypse

Who here has heard of the 2012 apocalypse? Who thinks it's true? Do you have any theories on what could happen?

I have a theory. I Think time will rewind. I've noticed that all my favorite TV programs are playing the older versions of it. I keep getting the urge to do things I haven't done since I was little. I've been having dreams I had when I was 6 years old, and all of them are filled with destruction. No lie!

What do you think?

I believe that the date has important significance. It is mentioned in many Mayan hieroglyphs. The exact date was kept on a secret brick in one of the Mayan ruler's throne room. The Mayans had knowledge far beyond expected of any human at that time. Mayan hieroglyphs state that their knowledge was a gift from their Gods, which are believed to be extraterrestrials. It is said that these extraterrestrials are going to visit Earth on that date.

When the calendar was made (the ending of calendar is what my people speculate as the end of the world) leap years were not taken into account.

Therefore, the world should have already ended.

I'll explain better when I'm not so tired.

Weren't the Mayans conquered or something? Maybe they were gonna continue the calendar but they couldn't because they were busy defending themselves. That's what my history teacher suggested.

Well all it is, just an ending of this cycle and a beginning of a new one. And time as we think of it is not going to be the same I can already feel the time slipping as in the days, weeks, and months are going so fast now. And from what your history teacher knows, even tho they were conquered that'd not be the reason for them not continuing a cycle.

Honestly, the 2012 Apocalypse has been disproved so many times that it seems strange to me that people even believe in it. I won't bother listing the reasons against it, there are simply too many. A simple Google search brings them up, it's quite the topic of discussion on the internet.

TV shows showing older seasons happens all the time. You wanting to do things and having dreams has nothing to do with time rewinding (if time itself even exists and is not human illusion). To think that your own common experiences affects the world is flawed thinking.

Simple truth is, the world should have ended countless times, but it hasn't. Even if it does end, for some reason, it's not any use to us to know about it. Better to just do what we've been doing.
