@jennifer
I know what Girl Scouts is. Though I don't really care for it honestly. My friend left a very poor impression on me about it.

Perhaps it's because Girl Scouts is US based & @chunky appears to be from the UK?

@seaangel O_O My leader is the nicest person in the planet. She's also the 3rd grade teacher. I'm a second year Junior.

I hated girl scouts. I quit 2 years ago.
The troop leaders (they were brats like their daughters) kept pushing the no clique stuff - but the girls in my group formed a clique and excluded me and my friend.

Really?! I bet they don't know about the Girl Scouts sisterhood. Hmph!
To others
In Girl Scouts, all girls are sisters to eachother.

I'm a girl scout 😃
In the UK, I think they have Girl Guides instead of Girl Scouts- chunky might be from the UK.
I like Girl Scouts- we've already been to New York City, and we're going to Washington DC in the spring.

@ashfire Oh, Girl Scouts' old name was Girl Guides (98 years ago). XD It was the original name of Girl Scouts. Juliet "Daisy" Gordon Low went to England and met the guy who made Boy Scouts and the women who made Girl Guides. She brought the idea to America and made Girl Guides which changed it's name to Girl Scouts soon. XD Okay, this is starting to become history class. In my troop, we learn the history of Girl Scouts and how it came to be. We got the making History patch (not badge). My story isn't that accurate. Search it up online.

The girl scouts in my school try and bully me.... >.> I kicked one hard for calling me emochild, weirdo, and creep cause of a poem I wrote, and I got detention for a week. She didnt get in trouble cause she was a 'honest, wonderful person who never got in trouble'

She also ripped up my drawing of Gambit the other day. D:

@jennifer

I've heard of it when I was little....

Nowadays, it's mentioned so rarely. The only thing that I know about Girl Scouts, is that they help the environment and sell cookies? It may be very stereo-typical, but I don't think that I know anyone who has been in Girl Scouts in Canada. ._.

@lola622f XD I looked at the map (in my Journey book) and there are only a few in Canada. We DO sell cookies (in January). 2012 was named The Year Of The Girl because it was Girl Scout's 100th birthday. Girl Scouting began in 1912. There was celebrations all around US. I went to Washington DC to the celebration there. There were almost 1 million girls there. Currently, there are 3 million Girl Scouts. I'll try to take a picture of my copy of the Time magazine that had a two page articul about Girl Scouting. I had to miss school for two days (We went on Thursday afterschool to O'hare airport and spent Thursday night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at our troop leader's friend's house. Our leader used to live in DC). It was an a good weekend in June.

I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
