One of my teachers always says 'That's the Law of Gravity' when someone drops a text book or binder. We all know we need gravity to keep us from floating everywhere. Yadda Yadda ya.
Yet would make life so much easier. Think, your text books wouldn't be falling on the ground anymore! xD But, seriously, it would save us from falling on the ground.

Sadly, we still need it. ):

@snowrus Not really, since I'd be dead.

Here's what would happen if the gravity suddenly turned off:

All the air would drift off into space.
All the water would drift off into space.
Everything that wasn't attached to the Earth would drift off into space.
The Earth would start breaking apart because there wouldn't be gravity holding it together.
Everything would start breaking apart because of no gravity holding it together.
Of course, by the time that happened we would all be dead through lack of oxygen 😋

I meant just for a few seconds in an enclosed area...

Agree with @sunshinecat and @cqpkytty, although it is possible. xD

😋
I wish there was something that could allow gravity to not have an effect on *you*, but still work for everything else 😋

@sunshinecat

Then I could have anti gravity fights with my friends and go way up in the sky.....I just imagion the Dragonball Z fights when I think about it.

Also I could find anything I lost eaiser than having to search for it.

@panda-chan
...how do you have an antigravity fight when you're dead from lack of air? 😋

@snowrus

Yes. When I'm being lazy and don't want to get up to get something. 😋

@cqpkytty

Well at some point there would have to be something clear that can let the sunlight in for plants and other things to live to stop us from floating away.

@panda-chan
No gravity=nothing to stop us from floating away. Period. End of story. 😋
And we wouldn't be able to breathe because the oxygen would be dispersed throughout space and be too thin to breathe 😋

There are those wind chambers that give you a few minutes of somewhat no gravity.

And then there's also those planes that fly you all the way up into the atmosphere and "drop" back down several thousand feet & during that "drop," you're basically floating.

Yep. So in a way, you can have those moments. Without having to sacrifice oxygen xD

That depends if we have a force field projected with magic or the force. If we or someone can defy or turn off gravity then other magic/science stuff can happen too. Just sayin. You could have the force field projected by reactors that have their own gravatational field and dont float off but could be on the ground or air. Then some one can just destroy the reactors and claim a land as their own. If we could be that technologicaly advanced then science rules today could be worked around.

@icymuffin
Sounds fun 😊

All you doubters, what if we had gravityless (whoa, I just made up a word there) chambers that we could purchase? 😋 That would be entertaining.

I think the point is being missed here...anything with mass has gravity. If there was no gravity there would be no mass. If there was no mass there would be nothing.

Even if you could have mass without gravity, the lack of air is far from the most major problem. Your atoms and the particles in those atoms would be falling apart if I understand correctly.

But...what am I doing talking about this on EC. Sorry to rain on the parade here o-o

True I know that is going to happen but I'm just stating my idea on what would be cool if something happened like that and everything does not float into space and we all dont die.

Just letting my imagionation take over.

~( -_-~)

You just have to be the leaf.....Shout out to all the Korra and Avatar fans out there.
