So in English, every term we have to read 2 books. Write book reports for them, and do a presentation on one of them. I want some ideas for which books I should read!

And our middle school is competing with other schools nearby to see if we can get the most students to read 25+ books in a year 😊 It's a piece of cake for me - but I dunno what to read o3o

So gimme some titles and their authors. And BTW - no anime. And they should be at a reading level for about a high schooler 😉

Edit:
Please don't tell me to read these books - I have read them or have chose just to stay away from that series 😊

@whispers BOOKS. O3O Erm, here are ones that I can think of:

Witch & Wizard Series - by James Patterson

Sherlock Holmes series - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

The Hunger Games series - Suzanne Collins

Liar and Spy - Rebecca Stead; This book isn't for older readers, I guess, but I still like it. xD

A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle

Bloomability - Sharon Creech

Ruby Holler - Sharon Creech

Walk Two Moons - Sharon Creech

Wonder - R.J. Palacio

There's more, I just can't think of any at the moment. xD

@whispers

the Alex Rider series

In English, WE have to read enough to get so many points by taking quizzes on the books. We must read a nonfiction as well to add to those points.

Yes, I LOVED it. I bought it for 89 cents and I'm going to read it again any time now. I cried at some parts. ;(

You should read the other books I suggested if you haven't already. 😊

The Warrior series are actually somewhat boring and poorly written compared to some novels I've read.

I just finished The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. God, it's such a good science fiction novel!

I'm planning on reading The Maze Runner and The False Prince. And possibly Heir Apparent. (Sorry, I don't know any of their authors)

@whispers -

If you're into fantasy at all, trying reading the Legend of Drizzt (13 books total for that) by R.A. Salvator (Book 1 is Homeland)

I read that series last year, one book a week. 😋 It also has a ton of other books with it, after that series (goes on to The Hunter's Blades Trilogy, The Sellswords trilogy, and a bunch of others) 😊

What exactly is the plot about? 😊

@whispers - The series revolves around a Dark Elf named Drizzt Do'Urden and it follows his life from birth to the present books (The Neverwinter Series), which is set approximately two hundred years after his birth. It's hard to keep track of his age though. 😋 Each book has a new adventure. Usually I get bored of book series' after three or four books, but I seriously couldn't get enough of this one. 😊

Read 'The Alchemenst' by Micheal Scott. It's the first in a really awsome series. o3o

Or maybe 'Tiger's Curse'... (the author slipped my mind... XD)

@whispers

I would recommend:

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo

Fly by Night and Fly Trap (book 1 and 2 respectively) by Frances Hardinge

The Tygrine Cat and The Tygrine Cat: On the Run (book 1 and 2 respectively) by Inbali Iserles

The Redwall Series by Brian Jacques (Warning, there's a lot of books. I mean a LOT.)

Well, that's all I could think of.😊

I would have also said Harry Potter or Warriors since I read both and loved them, but you already said not to.XD

The Hunger Games however, I choose to stay away from. I never liked it.=/

@whispers - samee BCMS is doing that as well... but it's this whole Genre Passport thing... You should read "At Risk" by Alice Hoffman or "Esperanza Rising" if you haven't already by Pam Munoz Ryan.

@mib666666 -samee we're doing this whole thing on the Outsiders... I wonder if its like a Country wide thing with Common Core?
