So I'm not sure if any of you heard of Hurricane Sandy, but I just want to help us out here on Egg Cave. If you're living on the East Coast of the United States you should maybe read this. If you live any of the following states: North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, The District Of Columbia, New York or Connecticut. You may be effected. I'm not sure if this will be severe or not.I know a lot of people don't watch the news, or here about upcoming natural disasters, but I kind of wanted to warn all you guys that's living on the East Coast of the United States. From the past results, it did some pretty horrible damage to the past landfalls it made. I would suggest getting prepared, basically sheltered. Food, flashlights, and window covers if necessary. But then said above, it depends what state you're in.The hurricane may be reaching out further, so if you're currently worried, and want to know if Sandy coming your way. Post your state below, and I'll search it up. I have been through a few hurricanes, so if you need any advice, or have any concerns or questions in general be sure to post below.

I live in the valley so we shouldn't get much. Rain, lighting, maybe some snow. Now if it comes up through the valley well, were in trouble. It shouldn't though, that not the path it looks to be taking.
xstephaanie • 26 October 2012 at 7:45 PM
Canadians should be wary too. It is forecast to reach the east coast of Canada & into Ontario by the middle of next week.
fakeworld • 26 October 2012 at 7:46 PM
@seaangel Yeah, the hurricane is making it's way up. So some changes may be made. But isn't The Valley in California? If so, I don't think it'll hit Cali, if not (What state it's in?). I'm also aware of the snow storm mixed with the hurricane, hopefully here in Maryland we won't receive much of that.@xstephaanie Oh, I forgot about Canada, they should be warned also. I'll add that to the thread, since the east of Canada is somewhat connected to the East coast of the United States, they'll feel some effects to.
seaangel • 26 October 2012 at 7:48 PM
@xstephaanie @fakeworld Hopefully it doesn't surprise us like the last big hurricane in Vermont. My aunt lives up there and they're still trying to get everything back to normal.
fakeworld • 26 October 2012 at 7:49 PM
@seaangel Well let's hope not, last hurricane I experienced was Hurricane Irene, and thankfully not a lot of damage was done.
Deleted • 26 October 2012 at 7:50 PM
@xstephaanie how far is it supposed to move inland to Canada? Now you've got me a bit worried.
2elle2 • 26 October 2012 at 7:51 PM
The hurricane will hit us, but its most likely going to be level 1, not very strong. That's good đ Although its probably going to hit us on Sunday-Monday, and school may be canceled...Also we might not be able to trick or treat đą
seaangel • 26 October 2012 at 7:52 PM
@fakeworld Yep, oh I live in the VA. Shenadoah valley, 'valley'. The mountains should brake up both storms, IF the path doesn't change suddenly. If it does and comes up through the valley, well hopefully we evacuate in time.
xstephaanie • 26 October 2012 at 7:52 PM
@izzfredI only heard of it reaching to Ontario, but it won't be as severe there as it may potentially be in the Maritimes. I didn't hear anything about Manitoba over to the West.
pinkred • 26 October 2012 at 7:53 PM
@fakeworld Can you look Massachusetts? I'm worried about Sandy and the fact that I might made puns about the name Sandy.
fakeworld • 26 October 2012 at 7:55 PM
@seaangel Oh you're like 30 mins away from me, I'm in MD. So I think we'll experience the same kind of level. @izzfred I'll do some searching on that, I'm not quite sure about Canada, so me just throwing information may not be accurate, I'll find you some worthy information though. But it shouldn't be hitting Canada that hard.@2elle2 What state you're in?@pinkred Yes it will hit Massachusetts, due to Massachusetts being on the East Coast I'm sure it'll experience Sandy also.

@xstephaanie ok.@fakeowlrd can you search the southwest of Canada.
2elle2 • 26 October 2012 at 7:58 PM
@2elle2 Oh, I forgot to say xD I'm in New Jersey. The hurricane isn't going to hit us very hard (or so the reporters say) but we might want to get prepared anyways... đąThe hurricane is pretty late in the season. xDEDIT- oops, I pinged myself xD
seaangel • 26 October 2012 at 7:58 PM
@fakeworld Yeah, hopefully the blizzard and the hurricane don't meet over northern VA where I lived. Everyone at school is freaking out, but I don't think it should be that. What level is it supposed to be round here?
fakeworld • 26 October 2012 at 8:08 PM
@seaangel On a scale from 1-10 the level should be around 4-5 I'm not sure though, I think we have to wait, till some more information kick in.@izzfred Hurricane Sandy is not reaching the West of Canada.

libra • 26 October 2012 at 8:12 PM
I'm right in the way of Sandy. Which means no power, no internet and no Egg Cave. âšī¸ But it also means my collage classes will be canceled. đ
7731826 • 26 October 2012 at 8:14 PM

@fakeworld Do you think Massachusetts will have it bad? O_OIt better not, I really want to go Trick-Or-Treating this year. D: Last year, there was a snow storm and Halloween was cancelled. ;~;
fakeworld • 26 October 2012 at 8:43 PM
@spirithawk Snow storm? What! I wish it was a snow storm here around Halloween last year, but I'm not sure. It should receive some hits in some parts of Massachusetts.
Deleted • 26 October 2012 at 8:46 PM
@fakeworld yea. I live in New York :I i hope it doesn't hit us. My friends are hard at work making their costume.
spirithawk • 26 October 2012 at 8:47 PM
