what is ec even useful for

EC can be used to buy several things...

1. Book creatures at Tim's
2. Buy travels from TA
3. Offer EC on trade lots
4. Bid in some auctions
5. Purchase calla from SAR center

Those are the top 5 reasons I can think of.
