Canary- Exerpt Read and tell me what you think!

In Sunny Vale Pet Shop, something amazing just happened. The mother canary just gave birth to 4 baby canaries: 3 yellow, like their parents, and...an orange one.

Dear Journal,
At the pet store today, I helped Mr. Banks feed the birds after school. When I walked into the bird section, I saw Ria snuggled up to her 4 new chicks! She will be such a great mother! Mr. Banks named all 4 chicks. There's 3 yellow ones: Nan, Cay, and Dio, and one orange one named Kenny. Kenny looked sick, so i'm praying that the little guy will get better soon. I can't wait until I can go back to the store tommorow! I'm not going to be able to pay attention in school...I guess that's just too bad.

Be honest, because I'm taking it to a publisher. If I finished this as a short story, would you buy ir as an e-book?
