Hi guys! How does creature trading work? I've got Chimeras and only need one, so I was thinking of trading one of them.On EC, does the creature's name matter when it comes to worth? I heard that rarity isn't as big a deal as other people make of it. Is that true? Also, where do you go to trade your creatures?
cqpkytty • 16 November 2012 at 8:31 PM
@eloreiTips:1. Chimeras aren't worth much in general.2. Name matters in a way. Rare creatures won't be worth *less* with a stupid name, but epic names CAN make creatures more valuable3. The weighted rarity isn't very helpful. It's a factor, but a bigger factor is popularity. Also the number that are actually available for people to trade for; NUFT creatures won't help you any but do contribute to weighted rarity. Also if there's a creature that people simply believe to be worth more, it will be. Ex: The Onny is less rare, weighted rarity-wise, than Ecorths, but you would have to trade quite a few Ecorths and a bunch of other things too for an Onny. 😋

@cqpkyttyAhh ok. So popularity of the creature is generally the biggest factor. Interesting! Also, does it cost EC or CC to change creature names? And what does NUFT mean?
fuzzykins412 • 16 November 2012 at 8:46 PM
@elorei NUFT means Not up for trade. It doesn't cost anything to change creature names, but you can only change your names 10 times a month.

Awesome, thank you @fuzzykins412 (:Oh - and why would you want to freeze a creature?
fuzzykins412 • 16 November 2012 at 8:52 PM
@elorei No problem! And, welcome to Egg Cave! Do you mind if I send you a friend request? O3O
elorei • 16 November 2012 at 8:57 PM
@fuzzykins412 Thank you so much! Not at all! I would appreciate that 😃

'Oh - and why would you want to freeze a creature?'@elorei People on Eggcave generally freeze for two reasons - either they want a creature at a lower stage, and do not want them to evolve, or simply to have a more valuable creature (to trade in the future). 😊Welcome to Eggcave! ^^
elorei • 16 November 2012 at 9:04 PM
Thank you @keenfoot! 😃I see not wanting a creature to evolve. But how would freezing the creature make it more valuable in the future...? (haha Sorry if I TOTALLY misunderstood what you were saying. XDD)
Deleted • 16 November 2012 at 9:12 PM
@elorei There will be less stages of that creature available for trade, and people may suddenly decide they really want that particular stage and will so offer more for it. 😋
elorei • 16 November 2012 at 9:14 PM
@keenfootAhhh, that stage of evolution. Gotcha! Very cool. (: Thank you for the info! Can I friend request you? 😸@cqpkytty@fuzzykins412@keenfootI'm sorry, I forgot to get the answer to one of my biggest questions: Where do I go to trade? 😋 And what level do creatures have to be before they're even worth trading?
karamel • 17 November 2012 at 10:46 AM
@elorei Where do I go to trade?: Hover your mouse over "explore" and then click Trade Center 😉And what level do creatures have to be before they're even worth trading?: It doesn't matter what level they need to be, since the worth of the creature is worth more than the level. If the level's over 2000, it just means the creature is immortal. But it doesn't really matter about the level.
spirithawk • 17 November 2012 at 1:27 PM
@elorei Hello. 😊 You can check out the Help & FAQ. It answers a lot of questions. 😉http://eggcave.com/explore/faqAnyways, to Trade, simply go to the top of a page. You see the brown-ish bar? Hover your mouse over the "Explore" tab. A list should appear. Those are places you can go to. 😊 (You can even click to Explore tab to see the map) Somewhere in that list, it'll say "Trade Center". Click that, and viola. You're at the Trade Center. 😋Anything you find in the Cave is not worth anything unless it is a Kujak (those only come out every November), Terron, Mo, Star Creatures, or the Common has a good name. Maybe even a Tasma. 😃If you have ~any~ questions, ask me. I'd be happy to help. 😊

@karamel Thank you so much! That's helpful about levels. So at immortal levels, you don't have to feed them anymore, they won't die from not feeding...? Is that right? That was SO helpful, @spirithawk - Thank you so much!! I will definitely come to you with my questions. c:
karamel • 18 November 2012 at 7:10 AM
@elorei Yep! Creatures die from unhappiness, and to keep them happy you need to feed them, so essentially that means you need to feed them to keep them alive 😋 So an immortal creature could have 0% happiness but still live, unlike a mortal creature 😊
spirithawk • 18 November 2012 at 10:48 AM
@elorei Haha, you're welcome. 😊 Thanks. 😉 Oh, and as a welcome gift, you have something on @trust if you'd like. 😸
elorei • 18 November 2012 at 4:03 PM
@spirithawkDo you mean I can have something on @trust... as in something out of your trades? So sweet of you to offer a welcome gift! 😱 😸
