@Scarlettsong texted me at around 8:23 pm saying: "The school site was hacked!" Curiously, I went on there to be confronted by the red screen of DEATH... and some random gibberish URL.

I left as quickly as I could (in case of a possible virus), and I've confirmed that I was on the right website... I'm scared now. We use school emails, and school sites to check grades and assignments... Will this effect that?

I'd send you guys a link to the site, but there are obvious reasons why I won't do that. 1, IT'S HACKED, two, IT'S MY SCHOOL'S WEBSITE. Case closed.

I'm still scared, though. Has this happened to anyone before? Do you have any advice? Is there anything *I* can do?

@dreamer Hrmm, quite strange. I don't think it will affect your grades as you have no way to get your assignments. I've never encountered a problem like this before, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon enough.

@dreamer

If someone truly HACKED your SCHOOL'S website, there is nothing YOU can do. They can't change grades or send emails or anyhting though. They are pretty experienced if they hacked a SCHOOL website, and you probably know too little about coding to do anything.

BEST THING TO DO RIGHT NOE IS:
Sit it out. Your school will get the website back, or make a new one.

Post the link?

@Clayosaurusrex I'd post a link to my school's site, but I don't want to do it in public. It obviously has the name of my school. If you want to see the site (and you're not a total creeper or anything), I MIGHT pm it to you. I don't know. I don't want to risk spreading a virus around or anything...

Just in case, I'm running a quick Norton scan on my laptop. Just in case anything got into my laptop.

There is nothing you can do, all the grade sites are secure and have ways to make sure it cant get hacked.

Personally I wouldn't visit the site at all or tell anyone else to. There is a good chance that the site may give a virus to your computer. THAT IZ BAD☹️
