Forgot Name of Book Series, Help?

Yeah, I want to remember this series. I think it had 3 books, good sized. One of them had the word "Wolf" in them.
I (drat) forgot the names of the characters and a lot of things about it.
However, it has something to do with this banished girl, it has a lot of magic. There was something about a prince or heir or something faking his capture to escape or something too.
The biggest detail is that there was this cousin or something similar from a sacrifice, I think, who was mutated and found by other mutations. She gives birth to this boy who is the source of all good or something, but advised by this evil-pretending-to-be-good spirit, she kills him, and the evil spirit takes her son's body over, making her into a slave, more or less.
